Chapter 370: Helpless In front Of Eira’s Anger

Chapter 370: Helpless In front Of Eira’s Anger

    Eira’s POV

Damn. I had never seen him like this before. The easy arrogance, the smug smiles, the taunts were gone. It was as if the beast he kept restrained within himself had finally risen to the surface.

Even my wolf recoiled at the threat. She trembled inside me, retreating into the shadows of my mind, silently urging me not to provoke this bloodsucker any further.

That meant he was serious. He had meant every single word.

"Still want me to fuck you?" he asked, his tone no longer teasing but edged with warning.

I shook my head at once.

I had decided not to provoke this bastard again, at least not when I was alone with him. The other four had never felt this terrifying. Not like this. Not in this raw, predatory way.

Perhaps it was because he was a vampire. A natural predator of werewolves which made him this dangerous to my senses.

He released his hold on my neck, and his gaze drifted downward, settling over my chest, over my heart.

    Could he hear it pounding?

    Of course he could.

My pulse was racing wildly, betraying the fear I struggled to conceal.

He closed his eyes briefly, as though reining himself in. When he opened them again, the lethal glint that had frozen me moments ago was gone. In its ce was something restrained, almost regretful.

His hands rose and gently smoothed my hair back into ce, fingers careful and deliberate. "I didn’t mean to scare you."

But you did, I protested silently in my mind.

He cupped my face in his palm and pressed a soft kiss to my forehead. "I’ll be careful not to scare you again. Now calm down."

I drew in a slow breath. Then another. I forced my racing heart to steady, willing both my body and my wolf to settle.

Gradually, the storm within me began to quiet.

We went downstairs as if nothing happened. Nothing like how he made mee at his fingers, or him threatening me had happened.

The moment the others saw me, their gazes shifted, exactly as I had anticipated, settling on the white pullover draped over my dress.

I opened my mouth to exin.

But a certain bastard spoke first.

"Hey, Jason," Rafe called casually, "I had to give her your pullover. She was too embarrassed to walk around with her uncovered tits."

    The fuck.

    I stood there, utterly stunned.

Jason, though focused on driving, had clearly heard him. His eyes flicked toward us through the rearview mirror. I caught the subtle way his gaze assessed the pullover on me, recognizing it.

Out of everyone, he had to give me Jason’s.

"Rafe, you shameless bastard," I hissed, ncing around quickly to check on Raven.

"He is sleeping," Roman, who was hiding his smile at my embarrassment, gestured towards the bed at the other end where Raven was sleeping.

I let out a sigh, and turned back to Rafe. The bastard was so serious a while ago and now he was back to being shitty.

"What?" he shrugged, "As your doctor you should let Jason know how your tits hurt in confinement due to pregnancy. He might offer you a solution," he raised his hand in front of me to show me, "Though I believe my hands did a good job at it."

My breathing grew heavier with anger. I truly wanted to kill this bastard.

I did not dare look at the others, but I was certain they were suppressing theirughter just as Roman was.

"I don’t want your help or anyone else’s," I snapped under my breath, keeping my voice low. "You’d better shut your mouth."

"They already know everything without me saying a word," he replied coolly, settling himself onto the sofa as if he had not just humiliated me in front of everyone.

I looked at others finally. Kael and Roman, and Lucian came to us from the co-driver seat. I could tell they knew.

"If he failed to satisfy you, I’m here for more," Lucian remarked lightly.

Kael and Roman wore simr expressions, infuriatingly calm, faintly amused. These brothers truly were peas in the same pod.

Not one of them told Rafe to behave.

I took a step back, heat still lingering on my cheeks. "I’m fine. I just want to be alone."

I turned, intending to walk toward Raven.

    Suddenly—

"Ahh..." My breath hitched as I clutched my round belly in surprise. "Ouch..."

    "What happened?"

All four of them were at my side in an instant.

Kael guided me gently onto the sofa, his hands firm yet careful. The others formed a protective circle around us.

"What happened?" Roman asked, worry etched clearly across his face.

"I think... ah... the baby’s moving..." I managed, one hand pressed to my stomach.

Beneath my palm, I felt it again. A distinct flutter. A firm little shift.

My breath softened in awe, but annoyance was still there.

"This bastard angered me and my baby," I muttered, shooting a re at Rafe.

For once, he looked almost helpless. He said nothing.

Good. At least he knew when to keep quiet.

Jason approached us, his expression serious. The caravan had alreadye to aplete stop.

"I think the baby’s moving," Kael told Jason, hisrge hands already spread protectively over my belly.

"Not moving," I corrected through a strained breath. "Kicking his mother."

I had felt faint flutters before, gentle shifts like whispers beneath my skin. But this was different. Stronger. Sharper. It actually hurt.

"It’s my belly, not a football ground," I muttered through gritted teeth. "It’s still small, and he’s already this strong. I wonder if he ns to rearrange my organs by thest month."

I did not know why I was so irritable. The words kept spilling out before I could stop them. I was annoyed, frustrated, and strangely emotional all at once.

Roman rose immediately to make space for Jason, who stepped forward and sat beside me. "Let me see."

Kael and I moved our hands aside. Jason gently lifted the hem of the pullover, revealing the curve of my belly beneath the thin fabric of my dress. He ced his palm carefully over it, his touch professional yet reassuring.

    We all waited.

"There," he said quietly. "The movements are strong. The baby is growing well." His gaze shifted to mine. "If that helps you feel any better about it."

"It’s not your insides being kicked," I snapped, my brows knitting together. I was not even sure what I wanted to hear, only that it was not that.

The four of them exchanged uncertain looks. None of them seemed prepared for my temper.

Kael pulled me closer, wrapping one arm securely around my shoulders and pressing a kiss to my temple. "I’m sorry you have to bear it."

"You should be," I muttered, though I allowed myself to lean into his warmth. "It’s all your doing."

Despite my words, I rxed against him, listening to the steady rhythm of his heartbeat as my own slowly began to settle.

I just wanted afort even if I turn entire world upside down. I wanted them to bear with it even if I have to throw hellish tantrums.

    -----

    Kael’s POV

I could see that she was being unusually cranky, unintentionally annoyed, lost and she herself didn’t know what to do. Her doctor had warned us about her unstable temper and we were ready to handle it silently.

Her doctor had warned us about her unstable temper during pregnancy. We had prepared ourselves to endure it withoutint.

Unlike how depressing her first pregnancy was with no one by her side, this time would be different.

I had already decided I would bear even the worst of her moods. What she was showing now was nothing. These were merely her rightful reactions, spoken freely because she knew her family would not resent her for them.

"I’ll make something for you to eat," Lucian said gently before turning toward the small kitchen area.

"I’ll get behind the wheel," Rafe muttered, already heading toward the driver’s cabin as we had to keep going.

Roman poured a ss of juice and brought it over. "You’ll feel better," he assured her softly.

I took the ss from him and held it to her lips, letting her drink while she leaned against my shoulder.

Lucian returned shortly with something light for her to eat. She finished it slowly.

Jason approached her again, calm and professional. "Today’s shot."

She gave a faint hum in response.

"Better lie down in bed," he continued gently. "You look exhausted. You can sleep after."

She obeyed silently as if she was entirely exhausted after her episode of anger.

Jason extended his hand. She ced hers in it without hesitation, allowing him to guide her toward the bed.

After administering the injection, he covered her carefully with the sheets.

"For your breasts," Jason said quietly, "I’ll exin to Kael and Roman what to do."

"Why am I being excluded?" Lucian’s voice came from behind him.

Jason nced at him. "If you give her a massage, it won’t stop at that. She needs rest, instead of being rolled over by a bulldozer like you."

"She’s my mate," Lucian replied, mildly offended. "I can restrain myself for her sake."

Jason answered him with a long, knowing stare. He knew his brother well.

    Lucian exhaled in resignation. "Alright."

Jason adjusted the sheets onest time and smoothed a hand gently over her hair. "Sleep."

She hummed and closed her eyes.
