Chapter 1619

    ?Chapter 1619:

Joelle had promised they would meet again. Was that truly possible? Would it happen someday, when she was old and crossed into that other ce where Joelle waited?

If there really was an afterlife, then death didn’t seem quite so terrifying—not for people like them.

Christina remained lost in that haze for some time before finally rising to wash.

Once she finished and stepped out, her three brothers were already standing in the hallway.

“Bonnie!” they called together, faces bright with smiles.

None of them had dared knock, afraid of waking her if she hadn’t rested enough. Yet they also wanted to be the first ones she saw, so they stayed outside her door.

Christina checked the time, startled. “You’re not going to work?”

By then, Bain and Jordy were usually already at the office.

Bain said, “Things are quiet at thepany. It’s fine to go inter.”

Jordy added, “I’ve got the day off.”

Gerry shed a grin. “Filming’s wrapped.”

Christina said nothing else, though her smile betrayed how touched she was.

It seemed her presence alone had disrupted all three of their routines.

“Come on, let’s grab breakfast,” Christina said, reaching out toward them.

With three of them, she couldn’t link arms without leaving someone out, so she pulled her hands back instead.

Florrie and the others were already in the living room. When the elevator chimed, they turned to see who wasing.

Christina stepped out first, her three brothers following closely behind.

Even among them, she stood out—a calm presence moved with her, filling the space.

With Christina leading the way and her brothers trailing behind, she looked like someone born to guide, the three men suddenly resembling loyalpanions rather than siblings.

The scene amused the Jones family, and they exchanged quiet, knowing nces.

Christina was the one who truly seemed born to lead the Jones family.

Hurley and Beth each took an arm, guiding Florrie as they hurried over to wee Christina.

To them, she was the only person that mattered—everything else seemed to fade away.

    “Bonnie.”

    “My sweet Bonnie.”

They kept calling her by the name she’d grown up with, repeating it again and again, as if saying it could ease years of longing.

“You must be hungry, Bonnie,” Florrie said warmly, holding her hand with open affection.

“Grandma, you didn’t need to wait for me,” Christina replied. “I slept in.”

“No, no, we woke up just a moment ago,” Florrie said cheerfully.
