Chapter 1589

    ?Chapter 1589:

“Ynda, it’s alright. You’re just being cautious. We’ll go visit Grandma tomorrow,” he said quietly.

“Okay,” Ynda replied softly, hershes lowering to hide the gleam in her eyes.

She was already nning how to make Bethel rewrite her will.

The next morning, Brendon and Ynda arrived at the hospital, only to be blocked at the door by the guards standing watch.

They didn’t let either of them take a single step inside.

“I said move!” Brendon snapped, his patience wearing thin as the men remained unmoved.

The guards stood firm, their faces nk and unreadable, refusing to so much as nce at Brendon—as though he were nothing but air.

The sheer indifference made his blood boil, his pride twisting into raw humiliation.

“Tell Christina toe out,” he barked, his fists clenching at his sides as he struggled to contain his fury.

But the bodyguards remained motionless, silent as statues, not even pretending to acknowledge him.

Rage surged through him, breaking hisposure. “Christina!” he roared, voice echoing down the hallway. “I know you’re in theree out right now!”

The words had barely left his lips when the door swung open. Christina stepped out, her brows drawn tight, her gaze as cold as winter.

“Keep your voice down,” she said tly. “This is a hospital, not your personal stage.”

The calmness in her tone only fanned Brendon’s temper. His face flushed crimson as he snapped, “What’s that supposed to mean?”

He jabbed a finger toward the guards. “You hired them to block us, didn’t you? So we can’t see Grandma? You’re trying to get your hands on her shares first! nning to get rid of her quietly before anyone catches on. I—”

His usation was cut short as Christina’s hand shot forward and mped around his throat.

Her face darkened, her expression fierce and chilling. Her grip tightened, lifting him effortlessly off the ground. Her eyes burned with an icy disgust that made the air itself feel sharp.

Behind her, the bodyguards froze, stunned into silence. A grown man dangled helplessly in her grasp—Christina hadn’t even broken a sweat.

The sheer strength radiating from her sent a shiver through them all.

Her presence was every bit asmanding as Dn’s. And in that moment, they understood why she stood beside him as an equal.

If anything, they were the ones who needed protection from her.

“Ah!” Ynda snapped out of her stupor and rushed forward, pping at Christina’s hand in a flurry of feigned panic. “Let him go! Let go of my husband—you’re going to kill him!”

Instinct had pushed her forward, but a calcting thought flickered through her mind.

If Brendon were to die by Christina’s hand, it would serve Ynda’s purpose perfectly.
