?Chapter 1537:
Years spent working at Dn’s side had already tangled Edwin in endless whispers and spection.
A few more outbursts from Robin, and Edwin’s reputation would be shot to pieces forever.
“End the ban and I’ll clear your name. Otherwise, I’ll keep the rumorsing every day,” Robin threatened, his tone positively dripping with satisfaction.
Surely, Dn wouldn’t be able to stomach the shame. At least, that was what Robin believed.
His moment of triumph was short-lived. Dn’s lips curled into a slow, dangerous smile—the kind that sent a chill running down Robin’s spine.
That familiar scheming expression…
Damn it.
Panic mmed into Robin. He clenched his jaw and hissed, “What are you nning, Dn?”
“Take a guess,” Dn replied, arching an eyebrow and leaning in.
With their faces so close, Robin could feel Dn’s breath. He scrambled back, desperate to keep even an inch of space between them.
Robin was so consumed by sheer terror that his grip on Dn’s leg instinctively ckened.
Dn deliberately lowered his head even closer, the smirk at the corner of his mouth curving into something predatory.
“How about we turn that little rumor into cold, hard fact,” Dn suggested, letting the words drip out slowly.
A bolt of ice-cold dread shot straight across Robin’s scalp; every single pore on his body seemed to lock down in protest.
“You—” Robin managed only a choked syble before Dn seized his cor, yanking their faces until they were mere inches apart.
In that terrifying moment, Dn’s famous good looks meant absolutely nothing. All Robin could register was pure panic and a wave of stomach-churning nausea that almost sent him to the floor.
g???????ν??????.k??n – ???????? ??????????
“Seriously, Dn, are you actually insane or something?!” Robin shoved him away violently, scrambling to put a safe distance between them as fast as he could.
“I am absolutely sick,” Dn confirmed, not moving a muscle, his eyes fixed on Robin with intense focus.
Robin actually hesitated, foolishly buying the seriousness for a brief second. “You’re sick? What kind of illness are we talking about?”
“Lovesickness,” Dn stated, his face deadpan and utterly convincing.
At that exact moment, Robin’s one pure impulse was to wrap his hands around Dn’s neck.
Dn was clearly disturbed—not just ill, butpletely, deeply broken.
A horrifying realization started crawling through Robin’s mind: maybe the gay rumors about Dn were actually true. Vickieing back must have just been a convenient way for Dn to deflect attention.
How else could one exin absolutely nothing happening between them over the course of years?
The more Robin thought about the possibilities, the more his skin crawled. He was strictly straight, and even imagining anything else made his stomach turn.
