Chapter 1485

    ?Chapter 1485:

“Hmph! Easy for you to say now. But what if we argue one day, and you get so angry you refuse to cook for me?” asked Christina.

“I wouldn’t. Even if we did fight, I’d still feed you. You’d need your strength if you n to argue properly,” replied Dn.

Christinaughed, unable to stop the smile blooming across her face.

He was getting far too good at saying all the right things—and she found herself falling for it every single time.

Dn yanked her into his arms, pressing her head firmly against his chest as though afraid Christina would slip away.

His heartbeat thudded strong and steady, and before she knew it, hers matched his—two hearts pounding in sync as if they belonged to one body.

“Chrissie, I’d never fight with you. But… if we ever did, and I was angry but still cooked for you… could you maybe, I don’t know…fort me a little?” His voice was low, half pleading, half sulking, trailing off into pure wounded-puppy territory. He looked like a puppy begging for scraps of affection, and it tugged hard at Christina’s heartstrings.

If he ever went that far, how could she stay mad? Any anger she had would melt faster than ice in fire.

And if Dn’s eyes ever welled up—if he actually cried—she wouldn’t justfort him; she’d hand him her whole life if he asked. A man’s tears were dangerous, like a drug no woman could resist.

When she stayed quiet too long, Dn’s face twisted as though he’d been wronged by the whole world.

He stroked her hair slowly, sulking, looking as if he were ready to surrender just to keep her close.

“It’s fine if you won’tfort me… I’ll calm myself down first, and then I’llefort you,” he muttered, sounding heartbreakingly wounded.

Hearing him talk like that, so utterly broken, stirred something deep in Christina’s chest.

She took his hand gently, sat up, and looked at him with a smile that carried both helplessness and warmth.

“You’re sitting here feeling so wronged, and you’re still worried about me?” Sheughed softly, torn between exasperation and affection.

“What else can I do? If I don’tfort you, what if you decide you don’t want me anymore?” Dn’s voice was soft, intive, with just enough whine to make her melt.

Christina’s heart softened like wax under me. Her emotions surged, unstoppable.

What was she supposed to do against that? The urge to kiss him hit her like a tidal wave—fierce, overwhelming, impossible to ignore.

The thought hadn’t even finished forming before she was already moving. She leaned in hard, crushing her lips against his, fierce and hungry. She wanted to devour him, to fuse with him, to erase the line between them until they were one.

Dn froze for a heartbeat, surprised, but then the corners of his lips slowly curled into a warm smile.

Whatever irritation or hurt he’d felt earlier disappeared instantly, washed away by the sweetness and adrenaline that Christina always managed to stir in him. His Christina didn’t need dramatic apologies or long speeches; one kiss from her and he melted every time.
