Chapter 1472

    ?Chapter 1472:

Then, Christina’s grip shifted to her thigh, crushing it with the same exacting force.

“You twisted me before,” Christina said softly, her smile cial. “I’m just returning the favor.”

It was in her nature—a debt paid in full, with interest.

Pain shot through Lorraine’s body like an electric shock. Her vision kept cking out, shing in and out, but somehow, she refused to copse.

Her arms hung like dead weights at her sides, swaying limply. She felt like a pathetic littlemb waiting for the axepletely, utterly powerless in that moment.

Pure terror wed its way up from her gut, tightening her scalp with dread.

“Christina, stop! What are you doing? You—you’re not actually going to murder me, are you?” Lorraine’s voice was a shaky, raw mess of sheer panic.

Christina arched an eyebrow, her lips curving into a dangerous half-smile. “After what you just tried? Why the hell wouldn’t I, Lorraine?”

“No! You can’t! If you do this, you’ll never get away with this!” Lorraine stammered, her face twisting into a mask of total panic.

Christina took a step closer, her voice dropping to a soft whisper that cut deeper than any shout. “Funny, you didn’t worry about getting caught when you tried to end me. And honestly, with the Miller name behind me? My chances are infinitely better than yours ever were.”

“Lies! The Millers wouldn’t touch this mess for you! I saved Mrs. Miller’s life! If you touch me, they will make you pay for this, you bitch!” Lorraine tried to sound tough, but her voice shook like a leaf.

Then the driver, silent until now, finally spoke. “I’ll kill her for you, the exact same way she nned to kill you… if you save my child’s life.”

He looked Christina straight in the eye as he said it, immediately certain she was a hundred times more reliable than the woman called Lorraine.

He figured if he wiped one more piece of trash off the, maybe his wife would forgive him when they finally met in the afterlife.

Christina met his gaze—steady yet filled with profound sorrow. The hardness in her own expression softened slightly.

“You don’t need to get your hands dirty for her. She’s not worth it.” She paused, then offered, “I can get your son the absolute best doctor on the, and I will pay for every single medical bill. All I need from you is the honest truth.”

Her offer stunned the driver into silence. He never expected something so simple, so incredibly merciful, to feel like an unimaginable grace.

To the driver, it honestly felt like a straight-up miracle gift from heaven.

If any other person had promised that, he would have instantly suspected a horrible trick hiding behind the words.

But something about Christina made him trust her—instinctively andpletely.

    “Alright,” he said.

Lorraine had no clue what Christina was nning. Panic shot through her voice as she yelled, “Christina! What the hell are you doing? I’m warning you—if you touch me, the Millers will never forgive you!”

Christina almostughed at how pathetic she sounded. “The Millers have already done more than enough for the Reynolds family. A life debt isn’t something you repay by trying to im endless favors. Those who keep grabbing for more often lose everything in the end. Your family’s shady moves behind their backs already crossed the line. Do you really think they’ll keep protecting you? Don’t be stupid.”
