Chapter 1380

    ?Chapter 1380:

Another thug nodded too. “That’s true! We only do the job. We don’t ask names. Please, let us go!”

“If we knew, we would’ve told you by now,” another one groaned. “Torturing us won’t change anything.”

They couldn’t fathom how this woman hit so hard—each strike sent pain ripping through their nerves, sharp and unrelenting, as if her blows reached straight to the bone.

It wasn’t just physical pain. It was torment—clean, precise, and merciless. None of them could withstand it, yet they truly knew nothing.

They weren’t lying. Men like them never met their employers. They took orders, carried them out, and kept their mouths shut. Asking questions was forbidden—and deadly.

Christina watched their trembling forms, her gaze cold and unreadable. After a moment, she let out a soft, disdainfulugh. Torture was pointless—they genuinely didn’t know.

“Go back,” she said, her voice low but razor-sharp. “Tell your employer this: if they have the guts toe for me, they can face me in person. Hiding in the shadows isn’t strength—it’s cowardice.”

“Okay!” one of them stammered, nearly choking on his words. “If we can contact the employer, we’ll deliver your message right away!”

Their eyes darted nervously, panic flooding their faces. When they had epted the job, they hadughed—mocked, even—at the idea of capturing one woman.

But now they knew better. They had faced a nightmare in human form, and their arrogance had cost them dearly.

    “Scram!” Christina barked.

It was all the permission they needed. The men bolted like terrified dogs, tripping over each other in their desperation to escape. None dared look back, afraid she might change her mind.

“Wow, Bonnie, that was incredible!” Gerry eximed, eyes shining with admiration as he took in the aftermath.

Christina’s stern expression softened. “You weren’t bad yourself, Gerry.”

Gerry scratched his head awkwardly, guilt flickering in his eyes. “Bonnie, I’m sorry. I tried to help, but I think I just got in the way.”

“Not at all,” Christina replied, her tone gentle. She held out the belt he’d given her earlier. “If it weren’t for your quick thinking with the fire extinguisher—and this belt—I might not have handled them so smoothly.”

Gerry blinked, surprised, then smiled sheepishly. “You’re giving me too much credit.”

Christina chuckled softly. “Let’s keep this between us, alright? No need to worry Grandma or anyone else.” She took his hand.

“Come on. We need to get that bruise checked out.”

“Are you hurt?” he asked quickly, his eyes scanning her for any injuries.

“I’m fine,” she assured him with a small smile. “You’re the one who’s hurt. Let’s get you to a doctor.”

They got into the car, unaware that a pair of dark, predatory eyes were watching from a nearby vehicle.
