Chapter 1368

    ?Chapter 1368:

Gerry made his way to the restroom, lingering in the stall for a while.

When he was sure the rest of his family had all left, he emerged and made his way to find Torrie.

When Torrie spotted him approaching, her heart sank. Oh no… another one. She could already guess his purpose before he even opened his mouth.

Gerry greeted her with exaggerated politeness, lowering his voice as if sharing a national secret. “Could I possibly have your contact information? I’m dying to try that chef’s dishes. When hees back, please let me know right away.”

Exactly as she thought. Torrie’s lips twitched, and for a brief second, her smile stiffened.

Did these brothers really think she was that naive? Their excuses about wanting to “taste good food” were paper-thin. They clearly wanted to poach the chef for themselves.

Still, these were Christina’s family—people Dn cared about indirectly. She had to tread carefully.

And besides, they didn’t even know who the chef really was. Poach him? Impossible.

If only they knew that the mysterious “chef” they were all so eager to recruit was none other than Dn Morfort—the owner of the very restaurant they were sitting in… and Christina’s boyfriend. Torrie almost wanted to stick around just to watch their expressions when the truth finally came out.

Meanwhile, Gerry noticed her thoughtful silence and began to panic slightly.

    Had she seen through him?

His smile wavered. “Well… did you hear me? Can I… maybe have your number?” he asked, trying to sound casual.

Torrie blinked back into focus, immediately slipping on her professional smile. “Oh, of course! My apologies—I was just distracted. Here you go.”

“Thank you so much!” Gerry beamed, his mood lifting instantly. “I won’t forget your kindness!”

    ???????????? ???????????? ???? ??????????????????.??????

In his mind, he was already imagining the scene—the day he sessfully “poached” the chef, his brothers’ stunned faces, their envy. The thought alone was almost too sweet to picture.

Torrie, on the other hand, simply maintained her pleasant facade.

To her, none of their little schemes mattered. As long as Christina was happy, Dn would reward her well enough.

Her loyalty was clear. She served Dn’s interests, and his alone.

“Please keep this confidential,” Gerry whispered conspiratorially as he slipped his phone back into his pocket. “Tell no one, alright?”

“Of course,” Torrie replied with an easy smile. “Your secret’s safe with me.”
