Chapter 1314

    ?Chapter 1314:

“Grandma! You’re not old at all. You’re young at heart!” Ophelia dered, pretending to look tough as she raised her fist. “And what’s wrong with a little ir? If anyone says otherwise, they’ll have to deal with me!” Despite her attempt to sound fierce, she looked irresistibly cute.

Florrie burst intoughter, her mood brightening instantly.

    At Morfort Restaurant.

“Grandma, I already booked us a private room. Order whatever you want. It’s my treat today!” Ophelia said proudly, giving her chest a confident pat.

Florrie chuckled. “Careful, I might eat enough to make you go broke.”

“I’m not worried about that! As long as Merlin keeps working hard, I’ll never run out of money. And besides, I’ve got three amazing cousins I can count on too.” Ophelia grinned cheekily. Between her dependable brother and her doting cousins, Ophelia really did have the perfect setup for someone who loved being spoiled.

Florrie couldn’t stopughing at her granddaughter’s antics. The two were so caught up in their lighthearted chatter that they didn’t notice someone walking toward them, until they bumped right into her.

“Grandma! Watch out!” Ophelia cried, reaching out to steady her, but before she could, someone else moved faster. Christina reacted swiftly, catching Florrie before she could lose her bnce.

“Thank you so much!” Ophelia’s heartfelt gratitude spilled out before she even got a clear look at the person. She let out a big sigh of relief as the immediate danger passed.

Florrie was quite advanced in years; a fall could have resulted in a serious, life-altering injury.

“I’m perfectly fine,” Florrie assured them, offering a small, forting smile.

She then turned to thank the sharp-eyed girl who had saved her, but the moment she saw the girl’s face, she froze, utterly stunned.

The likeness was so uncanny it was almost unbelievable. The girl standing there was a striking double of Florrie’ste mother, especially those beautiful, nearly identical eyes. For a brief, dizzying instant, it was as if her mother, restored to her youth, had stepped back in time.

That glimpse she’d had of a figure at the hospital simply had to have been this girl.

While plenty of strangers look alike, Florrie felt an intense, unexined pull toward the girl, aforting sense of familiarity.

Thoughts of her missing granddaughter suddenly flooded Florrie’s mind, and her aged eyes instantly began to brim with tears.

Maybe… just maybe, this was the granddaughter she’d been tirelessly searching for.

Once she saw that Florrie was okay and not too shaken up, Ophelia finally looked up to get a good look at the girl.

The moment she recognized Christina’s face, the words flew out of her mouth. “It’s you!”

Christina, for her part, had definitely noticed Ophelia earlier.
