Chapter 1300

    Chapter 1300:

She used to think Terrence did not want to get married because he was scared ofmitment. But now, it hit her all at once. It wasn’t marriage he opposed; it was the thought of marrying anyone who wasn’t Christina.

To him, Christina was the only woman worthy of standing beside him.

Christina never had to w her way up. The truth was, she’d already imed her spot in Terrence’s heart long ago. Besty had lost, fair and square. But her heart still wouldn’t let her ept it.

Why was Christina always the lucky one? How could she so easily win Terrence’s heart and make his love take root and grow like that?

Why couldn’t she—Besty—be the fortunate one instead?

“Since we’ve shared the same bed once, I’ll make your death a quick one,” Terrence said coldly.

Besty said nothing. Her eyes locked on his, heavy with a tangled mix of longing and sorrow.

Even now, her feelings for him burned just as fiercely. Every breath, every heartbeat still belonged to him.

The man who had stolen her heart at first sight was never meant to be hers.

Just then, a gunshot broke the silence. The bullet pierced through her skull.

A faint smile curved her lips. There was beauty in her tragedy, a strange peace in her end.

To die by his hand—perhaps that was the only ending her heart would ept.

A single tear slid down her cheek, mingling with her fading smile before both froze in ce.

Her eyes stayed open, empty, yet carrying the trace of a smile, where pain and love had met their quiet end.

Terrence looked at her without the slightest ripple of emotion.

His face was as cold as stone.

Killing meant nothing to him. It was routine. Besty had crossed his line, and that alone sealed her fate. In his eyes, she had only reaped what she sowed.

He turned away, taking a few steps before stopping. Then, as if on instinct, he looked back.

He knelt, ced his palm over her face, and gently closed her eyes.

Without another nce, he straightened and walked away.

“Clean it up,” he ordered his subordinate tly.

“Yes, sir!” his subordinate replied, quickly leading the team to erase every trace of the scene.

Terrence stepped onto the deck, the cold wind biting against his face. His gaze drifted toward the vast, dark sea.

The waves roared under the ck sky, and the yacht swayed like a lost soul—adrift, just like the emptiness inside him. Then an image of Christina and Dn walking side by side, fingers intertwined, shed before his eyes.
