Chapter 1237

    ?Chapter 1237:

When maniption and intimidation failed, they turned to their most despicable schemes.

Thankfully, Christina had foreseen their treachery.

She had equipped Davina with a vial of poison for protection and arranged for bodyguards to apany her.

Before entering, Davina had sent a message—if she didn’t emerge by a set time, the bodyguards were to storm in immediately.

Terence and Nelly seethed with fury. No n seemed to work against Davina.

Even deceit had failed, leaving them with only brute force to rely on.

“Davina, this is myst wish. Can’t you at least grant me, your father, that?” Terence tried once more, his voice soft, his expression feigning fatherly affection.

“I don’t have a father like you!” Davina snapped, her eyes zing with contempt. “I’m ashamed to share your blood!”

Every one of them was her mother’s murderer—each deserving of death.

If she could erase half of her genes, she would have dly wiped out the part that came from the man who destroyed her family.

A man who had killed her mother and abandoned his daughter to fend for herself had no right to be called a father.

Terence sped his hands behind his back, smiling instead ofshing out. “Good. You’ve got guts.”

His smile twisted, his eyes narrowing until his expression turned dark and venomous. “Let’s see how long you can keep it.”

With a single p, several trained bodyguards burst into the room, circling Davina.

    ???????????? ????????: ???????????????ν??????????﹒?????????

“Bitch,” Nelly cackled triumphantly, “we tried to make things easy for you, but you just had to make it hard. Fine—go to hell!”

They had intended to tempt her with false kindness, yet Davina had forced their hands, pushing them toward the very cruelty they excelled at. What a stubborn, infuriating woman.

Davina took in their smug expressions, her face hardening by the second, her eyes turning icier.

“Tie her up!” Terence barked, his voice sharp and cutting through the air like a whip.

The bodyguards, well-trained and ready, sprang forward without hesitation.

They charged at her together, but Davina moved with lightning speed—her leg shot out in a powerful kick, mming one of the men to the floor before he even knew what had hit him.

The others, who had dismissed her as some fragile woman, froze for an instant in disbelief. Seeing one of their own ttened so easily jolted them awake. They regrouped quickly, taking her far more seriously now.
