?Chapter 1119:
“I tried, but he didn’t answer. Forget it. Let’s head back for now. I’ll swing by another day,” Brendon replied. Maybe Christina and that man weren’t even here. If he couldn’t find them, he’d have to let it go.
“Let’s go back then.” Ynda’s mood softened, her tone bing more agreeable.
On their way out, Brendon’s gaze swept across the parking lot. He lingered, hoping for even the faintest glimpse of Christina. She hadn’t seemed the least bit troubled about his looming wedding with Ynda once she learned that man was injured. Had she already given her heart to someone else?
At Bayview Estates, the quiet was broken by Aylin’s voice. “Miss Jones, you have a visitor. She introduced herself as Leona from the Frazier Group. She said she once met you at an upscale boutique, where you offered her some crucial help. She’s here to thank you personally.”
If it weren’t for Aylin’s detailed exnation, Christina would have forgotten the name altogether.
“Show her in,” Christina said.
“Yes.” With a small bow, Aylin stepped away.<fndff7> ???s ??????? ?s ?????? ?? fι?dnοvel</fndff7>
Not long after, Aylin returned with two women in tow. Leona entered first, and beside her stood a young woman who appeared to be her daughter.
“Please, make yourselvesfortable,” Christina said, gesturing toward the seats as a servant approached with a tray of drinks and snacks. The servant offered them politely.
“Thank you,” Leona replied as she and her daughter epted their cups, sipping carefully.
Leona’s face lit up. “This tastes good—so smooth, with a sweetness that lingers.” cing her cup down with care, Leona looked at Christina with gratitude. “Miss Jones, I came here today for one reason—to thank you,” she said as she pulled a folded check from her handbag.

“This is fifty million,” Leona exined, her tone full of respect. “Please ept it as a token of my appreciation.”
Before Christina could respond, Leona’s daughter, Naomi Frazier, stepped forward, holding out a key with both hands. “My mom insisted on preparing something more. I know how much you love racing. This is the key to an Aston Martin Valkyrie. I want you to have it.”
Christina’s lips curved into a small smile. “I only offered some casual remarks. There’s no need for such extravagant gifts.”
“To you, it might have been an offhandment. But for me, it carried weight. I owe you, Miss Jones. Whenever you need me, I’ll do everything I can to repay that debt,” Leona said earnestly.
“If you insist,” Christina finally said, reaching out to take the check and the car key.
Naomi’s eyes sparkled as she asked, “Christina, do you remember me? We met at the Hubbard family’s recognition banquet.”
Christina nodded. “I do. You spoke up for me that night.”
