?Chapter 1052:
His hair was still dripping, framing his face in damp strands, making him resemble a pitiful yet adorable puppy.
Christina’s heart softened at the sight, and with a sigh of resignation, she reached out to take his hand.
Once they entered his room, she fetched a towel and gently wiped away the lingering droplets from his head. Then, she pulled out a hairdryer and carefully began to dry his hair. Dn sat in silence, straight-backed and obedient, like an attentive pupil awaiting instruction.
As Christina worked, her lips curved into a smile at his earnest demeanor. In this child-like state, Dn was irresistibly endearing.
Dn savored every second of their closeness, wishing these moments could stretch on forever. If he had his way, he would hold on to them until the end of their lives. Each time her fingers brushed across his scalp, a shiver of electricity raced through him, numbing yet intoxicating. The soothing rhythm lulled him, and he nearly drifted into sleep.
“All done,”.
Christina’s voice rang out suddenly, breaking the spell and jolting him awake.
“Sit tight. I’ll tend to your wound in just a moment,”.
she added, turning the dryer on herself.
Dn’s eyes followed her closely as he blinked.
“Chrissie, I can do it.”
“What?”.
Christina nced over, not catching his words at first. She switched off the dryer and asked, “What did you say?”
“I can help you dry your hair. I know how to use it,”.
Dn said, pointing at the dryer in her hand.<fn6f08> Newest update provided by Find?Novel</fn6f08>
Christina hesitated for a moment and then passed it over with a faint smile.
“Then thank you in advance for helping me dry my hair.”

She assumed he only wanted to amuse himself with the device.
Dn epted it happily and tapped the chair beside him. “Chrissie, sit here.”
“Okay,”.
Christina replied with a lightugh, taking the seat.
Facing away from him, she didn’t notice the tender smile that curved his lips, nor did she see the way his eyes brimmed with unspoken affection.
Though his gaze still held the calcted innocence, the depths of it asionally betrayed a fleeting shadow of the coldness from his past, slipping through when his guard faltered.
Christina could feel the heat of Dn’s fingertips as they brushed lightly against her scalp. His touch was careful, a little awkward, yet far more capable than she had expected.
She had assumed he only wanted to amuse himself, ying with the hairdryer for fun. She hadn’t anticipated that he would actually dry her hair from beginning to end without a single mishap. It seemed that his hands-on skills were still very much intact.
“Chrissie, I’m done,”.
Dn announced with a smile, his eyes fixed on her expectantly.
