Chapter 1050

    ?Chapter 1050:

His long, straight legs beneath the tailored ck trousers appeared powerful andmanding, each movement carrying a quiet dynamism. His entire figure seemed to exude energy and unshakable vigor.

Yet, his face still bore that boyish smile, his eyes wide with innocence. A fresh bandage rested neatly across his forehead, which Christina herself had applied scarcely an hour ago.

That face of his looked so untainted, almost painfully pure, and the bandage added an air of fragility, lending him a delicate beauty. But everywhere else, his body exuded an intoxicating, undeniable sensuality.

Raindrops streamed down the sharp edge of his jawline, some trickling to his neck. They slidnguidly over his Adam’s apple, tracing the ridges of his firm physique before disappearing into hidden hollows.

At a nce, he seemed reserved, yet with no effort at all, he could ignite a primal hunger buried deep within her.

Christina felt her throat tighten as she swallowed unconsciously, only to chastise herself when her gaze met the unguarded innocence in his eyes. How could she entertain such inappropriate thoughts about Dn—someone now so naive?

    “Chrissie,e y with me,”.

Dn’s deep voice called with a teasing warmth, an odd blend of innocence and sensuality that flustered her, causing her pulse to race.

“y? Your head injury hasn’t even healed—you shouldn’t be out here in the rain,”.

Christina scolded softly, hurrying toward him in concern.

Her mind was wholly focused on Dn, worrying that the wound might worsen from his recklessness in standing out in the rain. In her rush, she failed to notice the slick ground beneath her shoes and suddenly stumbled. Dn reacted instantly. As she pitched forward, he surged ahead and caught her securely in his arms.

Instead of hitting the ground, she found herself cradled tightly against him. His chest was solid and warm, his unique scent enveloping her, and her heartbeat quickened uncontrobly.

Their eyes collided and locked, and for a fleeting instant, it felt as though the world itself had ceased to move. The relentless rain faded from awareness, each drop suspended in time, as though time itself had frozen, leaving only the serenity of the moment.

Pressed so close together, they could each hear the frantic rhythm of the other’s heart. Slowly, almost eerily, the pounding beats aligned, syncing as though their souls had fused into one.

Christina tilted her chin ever so slightly upward, her eyes locked with Dn’s steady gaze.

The droplets streaming from his hair and skinnded softly on her face, carrying his warmth and that faint, intoxicating scent.

His striking face edged closer, closer still, until their noses nearly brushed. Christina’s heart thundered wildly, faster and faster, as though on the brink of bursting.

But just as she thought their lips would finally meet, Dn’s voice broke through, low and indulgent, softened with a yful smile.
