Chapter 1344: Chapter 1357

Chu Ge furrowed his brows tightly, his heart aching in waves, but as for why, he didn’t know.
Clearly, those weren’t his memories, clearly, those weren’t his own personal experiences, yet he felt a sense of empathy now.
"Uncle Jian, it seems like I’m not in a good state right now."
Memories from four different time-space dimensions surged into him at once, making his mind feel as if it was about to explode.
Jian Chunqiu pursed his lips tightly, his sharp gaze fixed on Chu Ge as he said, "We can’t wait any longer. We need to act now. The Time-Space Mirror must hold some huge secret. Otherwise, how could two time-spaces simultaneously appear in such a short time?"
As Jian Chunqiu spoke, he turned to leave and instruct everyone to act. However, Chu Ge raised his hand to grab Jian Chunqiu’s hand.
"Wait a moment."
Chu Ge took a deep breath, exhaling all the turbid air from his body before speaking, "Why am I the only one experiencing such a reaction while others aren’t?"
Jian Chunqiu was startled for a moment. Yes, if the Time-Space Mirror had cracks causing other dimensions to appear simultaneously, it shouldn’t just be Chu Ge reacting. But he saw everyone else as if nothing was wrong. What was going on?
Actually, Chu Ge wasn’t the only one experiencing this phenomenon; there was also Mu Bingtong.
Mu Bingtong was sleeping when a fragment of memory that didn’t belong to him suddenly surged forth.
When he snuck into the banquet, Mu Bingtong beamed with joy.
As a typical foodie, seeing the array of diverse, fresh, and delicious food in front of her, she could almost see the delicious edibles kneeling before her, begging to be eaten.
If she knew the events that would follow would change her normal life course, and inexplicably present her with a son, she might regret being brought in by her friend.
Mu Bingtong smacked her lips, opened her arms, and lunged at the delicious food.
The Xiao Group’s annualpany rally was being held at the most luxurious hotel under their banner. As Mu Bingtong’s good friend and bestie, Yang Xin was obliged to bring Mu Bingtong along. After all, it was a rare matchmaking event.
"Bingtong, I didn’t bring you here just for the food, couldn’t you at least look around to see if there’s anyone you fancy?"
Her friend Yang Xin pulled away Mu Bingtong, who was munching with her mouth full, and said earnestly, "Stop eating! Haven’t you noticed that no one has invited you to dance?"
The future looked bleak; this girl didn’t seem to care, just feeding her appetite!
As they spoke, another young gentleman approached and extended a hand to Yang Xin, "Miss, may I invite you to dance?"
Yang Xin, wearing a fashionable blue evening dress that matched her fair skin, had a slightly low neckline that unted her assets, and her exquisite makeup sessfully attracted the attention of most men present.
She gave a faint smile, pointing to Mu Bingtong beside her, and said, "I’m not feeling well, why don’t you dance with her?"
Today, Mu Bingtong wore a rather conservative long dress that covered her fair and delicate skin. With a doll-like porcin face and no makeup, those who didn’t know her might even mistake her for a minor, no wonder no one approached her.
Mu Bingtong finally swallowed the food in her mouth and wiped her lips before refusing, "Yang Xin, you go dance with him; don’t worry about me, I’ll fill myself up."
Yang Xin had a line of exasperation on her forehead, rolling her eyes silently. Can’t you see I’m trying to y matchmaker for you?!
No one noticed a cute little boy trying hard to look cool in front of the long table, his big bright ck eyes blinking as he stepped closer to Mu Bingtong.
"Eating again! All you know is to eat; go dance." Yang Xin scolded sternly, then smiled at the gentleman, "I’ll leave Bingtong to you."
"Mommy, I want some cake too." The little boy took Mu Bingtong’s hand and shook it gently.
Mu Bingtong nodded hesitantly, making a soft sound of agreement, and handed him a small slice.
Suddenly, her hand stopped mid-air.
What did he just call her?
Yang Xin stood by, mouth agape in shock, pointing at Mu Bingtong and yelling, "What did he call you? Since when did you have a kid this big?"
"Auntie, I’m not big, I’m only five years old." The little boy frowned, pouting stubbornly and lifting his cute little face in defiance, then shed a bright smile at the gentleman, saying, "Uncle, Mommy can’t dance, so you should find another girl."
The gentleman nodded awkwardly and quickly withdrew.
Mu Bingtong stood there petrified, her finger trembling as she pointed at the little boy, her voice quivering, "Where did youe from, little ghost? Stop calling me that."
She didn’t even have a boyfriend, how could she suddenly have a child this big!
The little boy’s dark, shining eyes filled with tears, his small shoulders shaking, "So it’s true, just as Grandma said, Mommy doesn’t want Little Ruirui anymore."
"Little ghost, I don’t know you; whose child are you really?" Mu Bingtong felt like crying, anxiously shaking off the little boy’s hand.
The little boy’s eyes brimmed with tears, before he burst into loud sobs, instantly drawing the surrounding crowd’s attention.
When Mu Bingtong saw him really cry, she was flustered, "Don’t cry, don’t cry, little one, you’ve really got the wrong person; I’m not your mom."
As soon as she finished speaking, the little boy cried even harder.
Mu Bingtong hurriedly pulled out a tissue to wipe his tears, asking Yang Xin, "What should I do?"
Yang Xin also looked bewildered, spreading her hands cluelessly.
The onlookers all started whispering among themselves, "Look at her, she doesn’t seem old, yet she has such a big son."
"Must be an unwed mother."
"So irresponsible."
In an instant, Mu Bingtong became the center of attention; she felt both wronged and indignant, but the boy’s cries tugged at her heart, leaving her at a loss for what to do.
A cool and indifferent voice came from the crowd, "At the employee rally, who brought a child in here?"
Yang Xin felt startled, quickly pushing the little boy into Mu Bingtong’s arms, "Hurry up and go, if the big boss finds out I sneaked you in, I’ll be fired."
As Mu Bingtong was about to leave with the boy, someone blocked her path.
"Which department are you from?" The man in a ck trench coat, emphasizing his tall figure, exuded a formidable presence that made Mu Bingtong instinctively hug the boy tighter and take a few steps back, not daring to look up at him.
"Speak."
The little boy felt Mu Bingtong’s hands holding him tremble slightly, and pouted in discontent, shouting at the man, "Bad person! You’re scaring my mommy!"
The crowd gasped simultaneously; this employee was in big trouble. Bringing a child here was one thing, but now the child was openly challenging the big boss, surely they’d be sent packing.
Xiao Jingchen squinted his long, narrow eyes, the depth unfathomable, "She’s your mom?"
