Chapter 1285: 1298

    Capítulo 1285: Chapter 1298

Han Wanwan nced at the man in front of her. When she met his eyes, which held a dangerous look, her heart inexplicably skipped a beat. His gaze alone was as cold as falling into an ice cer. The powerful aura emanating from him made Han Wanwan, who had climbed to the top ranks in the entertainment industry, hesitate and dare not approach. She steadied her mind, preparing to bypass the man.

    “Wait a moment.”

As Han Wanwan passed by the man, her wrist was suddenly grabbed. The force on her wrist made her involuntarily suck in a cold breath.

“Sir, is there something you need?” Han Wanwan tried to break free but couldn’t. She raised a faint smile and turned her gaze to him. “Sir, I’m working right now. If you want my autograph or a photo, please line up over there.”

Chu Ge furrowed his brows, thenughed out loud. An autograph? A photo? Did she really think she was a celebrity amongst thieves? She had no shame whatsoever.

The hand gripping her wrist suddenly lifted above head height, snatching the wallet from her hand, the mocking smile still lingering at the corner of his mouth. “So young, and you couldn’t learn something better? Had to be a thief? The food in jail isn’t going to suit your taste.”

“Ha, are you saying I’m a thief?” This guy! Didn’t he recognize who she was? Daring to manhandle her in public!

“Aren’t you? Or is there a new term for thieves now? Or has being a thief be a respectable profession?” The man looked down at her, his long eyes filled with undisguised disdain projecting straight onto Han Wanwan.

“…” Han Wanwan narrowed her eyes, her pink lips oozing sensuality, as she wanted to retort. Gently raising her eyes, she met a pair of deep, dark eyes. His long eyshes seemed to move in slow motion like fans.

A faint halo of light shone upon the man’s body, entuating his sharp, well-defined features and the tense lines of his face. Hisposed yet oppressive aura was unlike anything she had seen even among the countless handsome men in the industry.

Before she could think of a rebuttal, the man took a long stride, not even sparing her another nce. To him, admirers meant nothing, especially if they were thieves; he found it even more annoying.

Tossing the wallet onto the strong man lying on the ground, his disdainful gaze swept across the group of strong men. They couldn’t even outrun a girl. How embarrassing.

She watched him get into a sleek ck stretch Maserati sports car and drive off into the night.

The car had been borrowed from Nangong Man Sha for temporary use, and since he wasing this way today, he had just driven it over.

Han Wanwan and the strong men stood there in a daze, noting back to their senses for quite a while until a man with sses and a pager in his hand ran over.

“Director, was this guy ast-minute addition?” Han Wanwan rubbed her wrist, which had been gripped tightly, leaving a red mark, feeling slightly annoyed by his strength.

The director, feeling helpless, didn’t know where this “hero” hade from, so he could only try tofort Han Wanwan. After all, she was a high-profile star he had paid a lot to invite, and since she was backed by the Han Family, he certainly couldn’t afford to offend her.

After finally finishing a segment of filming and just as she stepped out of the set, Han Wanwan received a frantic call from her brother at home. “Sis, if you don’te back soon, Mom will tear the roof down!”

In her mind, Han Wanwan thought it must be Dad who upset Mom again, waiting for her toe back and defuse the situation. Her parents, after being together for most of their lives, were still acting like a couple in a romance, using temper, throwing fits, getting romantic, living in a world of two – none of it ever missing.

As much as she was speechless internally, she still pressed the gas pedal harder, heading toward the suburban vi.

When she arrived at her doorstep, she stared at the sleek ck sports car parked in front of her house for quite some time, until the person inside opened the car door, stepped out with long legs, and revealed that annoyingly familiar face in front of her.

This man had actually followed her!

Chu Ge raised a faintly mischievous smile. Standing there with his hands on his hips, he was merely waiting for Yuwen Kangli, yet unexpectedly bumped into this woman again.

In a simple white shirt tucked into dark tailored trousers, Han Wanwan actually found this basic outfit looking so handsome on him. She momentarily forgot how he had insulted her, standing foolishly on the spot.

Suddenly, a strikingly handsome face erged abruptly in front of her. Han Wanwan squealed in surprise and stepped back a few paces to keep her distance.

“You really are like a ghost that won’t go away,” Chu Ge mocked.

Han Wanwan pinched her brow. After a sixteen-hour shoot, she was a bit weary and had a headache. Hearing the man’s sarcasm, she let out a lightugh but agreed, “So it seems, you’ve even chased me to my doorstep.”

“You were trying to y it cool and walked off in the square, attempting to get my attention, and then showed up at my home; sir, that’s not how you idolize someone.”

Refusing to show weakness, Han Wanwan red at him, raised her chin, and met those deep ocean-like eyes — so what if he’s tall?

At this point, a head suddenly popped out from the doorway. “Sis, someone’s here to settle a romantic debt with you.”

What nonsense! Han Wanwan fiercely red at her gleeful little brother.

“It’s true, someone is here to make good on a childhood engagement from twenty years ago.”

Han Wanwan gave her brother Han Xiangyang a look, signaling him to be quiet. This kid, where did he learn to say such things?

Hearing Han Xiangyang’s words, Chu Ge hesitated for a moment, casting an assessing gaze toward Han Wanwan. “Your house?”

So she was the eldest daughter of the Han Family.

Han Wanwan looked at the man in front of her, at a loss for words. He had chased her all the way to her home and still acted like it was a coincidence. She nodded in acknowledgment.

“That trope is outdated.” Han Wanwan took a step forward, “I’m d you like me so much, but could you please give me some personal space? I’ll give you an autograph, but a photo would be inconvenient,” she treated him like any other crazed fan, then took out a pen from her bag and, quite generously, grabbed the man’s arm, leaving her signature on his white shirt.

Chu Ge looked at the elegant name smoothly written across, his eyebrows furrowed, his sensuous thin lips pressed into a line, yet he didn’t push her away.

At this moment, they were close, so close that Han Wanwan, with a slight lowering of her head, caught a faint scent wafting past her nose.

“There,” Han Wanwan nced at it and then looked up at him.

Suddenly, her lips brushed against cool, thin lips, and she froze.

As their eyes locked, one looked startled, the other angry.

“You rogue!” Han Wanwan flung her hand, nding a p on Chu Ge’s cheek with a loud smack.

She pushed him away forcefully, turned around, and hurried into the vi, shouting to Han Xiangyang as she ran, “Han Xiangyang, close the door! If anyone trespasses, let Little White out!”

Han Xiangyang watched his sister’s retreating figure, scratching his head, “Sis, even though Little White is big, he’s too gentle; he wouldn’t bite anyone. He’d just end up getting poisoned by bad guys!”
