Chapter 762: Chapter 0764: I’m Not Angry

Upon hearing this, Lin Dong’s eyes immediately sparkled with joy, and he looked at Jian Chunqiu gratefully, "Thank you, Master!"
Ever since Jian Chunqiu took him as a disciple, there had been no further mention of it, and he had thought that Jian Chunqiu was merely joking at the time, or perhaps had forgotten about him.
Now, hearing Jian Chunqiu say that he was going to find someone to help him with his martial arts, Lin Dong couldn’t be happier.
Touched, Lin Dong’s feelings clearly showed on his face, and his starry eyes looked at Jian Chunqiu like a silly, devoted dog ecstatic to see its owner.
Jian Chunqiu shook his head helplessly at him, "Alright, you don’t need to stand here anymore, do you? I have something to discuss with Chu Ge. Go and tend to your own duties."
"Yes, thank you, Master."
Lin Dong walked away with a cheerful grin.
Chu Ge looked at Jian Chunqiu, puzzled, "What’s going on?"
Jian Chunqiu nced at Chu Ge, then looked around and said, "We should talk somewhere else."
Chu Ge nodded, stood up, and said, "Let’s go to the upstairs lounge."
The two headed there, one following the other. Gu Tong’s attention wandered, always ncing over, curious about what Jian Chunqiu wanted to discuss with Chu Ge.
He had heard that the Capital City was not peacefultely as, due to the summit, more and more Ancient Martial Artists were flooding into the city. Some even started fights over a single remark.
Chu Ge and Jian Chunqiu arrived at the lounge, and after closing the door, Chu Ge poured a cup of tea for Jian Chunqiu before sitting opposite him and asking, "Uncle Jian, what’s the mystery about?"
Jian Chunqiu pondered for a moment and said, "Do you remember the Huayue Sect?"
Chu Ge was taken aback, then nodded, "Isn’t that sect severely weakened by the attacks from other sects?"
Jian Chunqiu nodded, "But this peak summit, the Huayue Sect is also among the invited, and what is even more puzzling is that even the ck Witch Sect hase to the Capital City."
Chu Ge looked skeptically at Jian Chunqiu. The Nangong Family couldn’t have sent invitations to all the sects, could they?
Jian Chunqiu exined, "Don’t think too much. The ck Witch Sect did not receive an invitation. The reason they came to the Capital City is to snatch someone else’s invitation."
Chu Ge became even more puzzled, "Can invitations actually be snatched?"
"Of course, there’s no need for major sects to snatch from each other, but in the world of martial arts, there are many experts who haven’t joined any sect, and their invitations are the targets."
Chu Ge understood it now and chuckled, "You mean to worry that my invitation will be snatched by them?"
Jian Chunqiu couldn’t help but roll his eyes, "Who would dare to snatch your invitation!"
Chu Ge smiled. Hisment was, after all, just a joke.
Jian Chunqiu continued, "The reason I came to you is that the Huayue Sect and the ck Witch Sect seem to have joined forces. They n on making big moves at this summit as a form of retaliation."
"Retaliation? There will be a gathering of masters at the peak summit, how could they possibly seed."
Chu Ge snorted lightly.
Jian Chunqiu smiled and shook his head, "They don’t n to act on the day of the summit. Although I don’t know their specific ns, the secret message I received was that they will take action tomorrow in Fangshan."
"Fangshan?"
Jian Chunqiu nodded, "Fangshan is a famous scenic mountain in the Capital City, and it is one of the locations for the summit."
Chu Ge fell silent for a while, "So you’re saying they will act tomorrow?"
Tomorrow is the day Mu Bingtong has to depart.
Uncle Jian looked at his troubled expression and asked with some puzzlement, "What’s the matter? Do you have something going on tomorrow?"
Chu Ge shook his head gently. Sooner orter, Mu Bingtong would leave the Capital City; there was no need to feel reluctant about it. Yet, he was just worried that if Mu Bingtong went to the airport alone, something might happen.
However, there were more pressing matters to attend to here. If the Huayue Sect and the ck Witch Sect were truly to stir up trouble in Fangshan, it wouldn’t be just the Ancient Martial Artists who’d suffer; the ordinary people living at the foot of the mountains would bear the consequences too.
Inparison, the responsibilities here weighed heavier.
Chu Ge sighed softly, "I see what you mean. You want me to apany you to see what exactly they’re nning?"
Jian Chunqiu nodded, "These people are just too audacious. If we don’t teach them a lesson, if we allow them to continue such wanton actions, the world of martial arts will descend into chaos."
Chu Ge nodded. As an Ancient Martial Artist, his role wasn’t limited to self-cultivation; he had a broad perspective and a wide view, naturally understanding Jian Chunqiu’s point.
He nodded again and said to Jian Chunqiu, "Alright, I got it. I’ll go with you to Fangshan early tomorrow morning."
After finalizing the n with Chu Ge, Jian Chunqiu left. The two of them alone weren’t strong enough; he needed to contact more people. That way, if things got chaotic, there would be support.
Of course, the aforementioned support wasn’t about Ancient Martial Artists looking out for each other but about protecting the ordinary people.
Their physical abilities were negligible, yet they were forced to suffer due to the vendettas among the Ancient Martial Artists in the world of martial arts. To them, this was exceedingly unfair.
After Jian Chunqiu left, Chu Ge felt somewhat uneasy. He drove straight back to the vi, where Mu Bingtong and Nangong Man Sha hadn’t returned from shopping yet.
He called Mu Bingtong again, and when he learned they were still out, he asked for the address and drove there to pick them up himself.
With Chu Ge’s help, Mu Bingtong and Nangong Man Sha shopped even more enthusiastically.
Chu Ge,den with bags all over himself, even began to question ifing here was the right decision.
Yet, seeing Mu Bingtong shopping so vigorously, all his doubts disappeared instantly.
The two of them shopped for nearly another one and a half hours before ending their buying spree.
Mu Bingtong looked at her haul in amazement, "Did we actually buy this much?"
Nangong Man Sha was equally puzzled, "Yeah, I hadn’t realized we’d bought so much. I thought it was just a little bit."
Chu Ge watched the two of them, speechless, yet he wondered how to tell Mu Bingtong that he couldn’t see her off tomorrow.
Once inside the car, Mu Bingtong looked at Chu Ge, somewhat puzzled, and asked, "Chu Ge, do you have something on your mind?"
She had noticed since they were shopping that Chu Ge was distracted.
Chu Ge looked at Mu Bingtong with a wry smile, "Is it that obvious?"
Mu Bingtong snorted lightly, "Do I not know you?"
After musing for a moment, Chu Ge sighed softly and finally said, "Tomorrow, I might not have the time to see you off."
Mu Bingtong blinked in surprise, then chuckled, "That’s it?"
Chu Ge looked at her only to see she wasn’t angry about it, "You’re not mad?"
"What’s there to be mad about? I wasn’t nning on having you send me off anyhow."
Chu Ge: ...
