Chapter 1903 - 2004: Facing Low Spirits

Chapter 1903: Chapter 2004: Facing Low Spirits

Xi’er was the judge appointed by Xiang Yu. He tried the leader in front of everyone, surrounded by onlookers eager to know how this matter would be handled.

In the end, Xi’er sentenced the leader to death, while the other aplices were deducted one month’s wages.

Currently, they had no prison and couldn’t confine them. Moreover, the city was under construction, and they still needed young men to work.

The leader protested loudly, iming he was part of the self-defense force, maintaining the city’s security, and no one else had the right to deal with him.

Spectators, witnessing this scene, now held thew in more esteem, resolving to act only within its bounds in the future.

The oue was difficult for Eck to ept, and he wanted to plead with Xiang Yu, but Tie Zhuzi stopped him.

"Brother Yu is very tired now, and the country’s development must rely on thew. Thew is paramount. If you go to Brother Yu now, he will surely refuse." Tie Zhuzi said seriously.

Eck rarely saw Tie Zhuzi so serious, then nodded and said, "I understand."

After saying that, he left, not expecting things to turn out like this. He nned to return and reorganize the self-defense force.

Xiang Yu was feeling somewhat down and nned to find a ce to have a good sleep, when Xiao Xuan called.

"Bro, a military vehicle has entered the city, presumably from the military." Xiao Xuan said earnestly.

"Handle this personally, follow them. They’re here for an investigation. Don’t let them discover our presence, and shift all the me onto the Blood Alliance." Xiang Yu instructed seriously.

"Got it, bro. I’ll take care of this, you take a rest." Xiao Xuan replied.

He could tell Xiang Yu was truly tired, and if it weren’t important, he didn’t want to disturb him.

Xiang Yu went to where Xi’er lived, finding the room empty. He locked the room tightly andy down on the bed, falling asleep.

He had a restful sleep, dreaming a long dream. He dreamed of the days in the army when, though tiring with daily training and asional missions, life was joyful and simple, as long as tasks werepleted each day.

Now, with greater capability and more brothers under him, that simple joy from back then was no more.

When Xiang Yu awoke, it was already evening, and the room remained quietly empty.

He checked his phone, finding two missed calls, one from Long Wu, the other from Eck.

He didn’t call anyone back and then headed towards Long Wu’s ce.

Upon arrival at Long Wu’s, she smelled a fragrance on Xiang Yu and frowned, asking, "Do you want to build the city or not?"

"I don’t know," Xiang Yu said nonchntly as he sat there.

"Xiang Yu, pull yourself together. If you are like this, who will build the city? Why did you call me here if not for this?" Long Wu said passionately, then sat in front of Xiang Yu, adding, "Xiang Yu, you’re not one to give up halfway. The city needs you; you must rise up."

Xiang Yu looked at Long Wu and smiled, saying, "I’m human too, I get tired. I just want to rest for a few days. Can I have some peace?"

Long Wu wanted to say more but instead sighed. She stood up, moved behind Xiang Yu, and massaged his shoulders.

"If you’re really tired, we can go back," she urged.

Long Wu didn’t like seeing Xiang Yu like this; she preferred the happy-go-lucky version of him.

"There’s no going back." Xiang Yu replied with eyes closed as he leaned back.

Though Long Wu had been keeping an eye on Xiang Yu, she didn’t understand his current state or the burdens he carried.

Xiang Yu was not only a Chinese Special Forces member tasked with an assignment from Number One, but he also led the Heavenly Dragon Mercenary Corps and was now the city’s beacon of hope.

"How’s the factory nning going?" Xiang Yu asked.

"Sun Bo and I have discussed it. Our construction team is on its way, and they should quicklyplete it upon arrival." Long Wu replied.

"Make sure they stay safe," Xiang Yu advised.

Long Wu smiled, saying, "Don’t worry. Ourpany’s scale now exceeds your imagination. Their arrival has been secured through a bteral agreement, and a specialized military unit will escort them."

Xiang Yu felt a bit lost, realizing he hadn’t been keeping up with economic affairs and naturally didn’t know hispany had grown so vastly.

"You need to catch up on some lessons," Long Wu quipped, twisting Xiang Yu’s ear yfully.

Xiang Yu chuckled without adding more. He once underestimated economic power and didn’t leverage it well, but now thepany’s prominence garnered national attention, and he could finally utilize it effectively.

Internationally, many countries sought meetings with Sun Bo, hoping he’d invest and develop in their nations.

Sun Bo had be a well-known figure globally, with many watching his every move.

On hisst visit to a small country, he narrowly escaped a close call, leaving many in suspense, and even newspapers in several countries reported it.

Thankfully, he returned home safely, and to calm his nerves, many key figures in China met with him afterward. Currently, each move he made impacted the entire Chinese economy.

However, besides Number One and a few others, few in China knew of the connection between Xiang Yu and Sun Bo. Xiang Yu was actually the mastermind behind the grand conglomerate.

Xiang Yu pondered briefly before shaking his head.

Economic and military growth had been separated for a reason, and he didn’t want personal affairs to affect thepany’s progress.

It’s still the same; revealing Sun Bo’spany’s link to the mercenary group could halt many international partnerships.

"Let’s take it slow; we can’t rush," Xiang Yu muttered to himself.

Long Wu knew Xiang Yu contemted a lot, so she didn’t press further, saying, "Don’t overthink, just go back and rest well tonight."

Xiang Yu nodded, replying, "It’s gettingte; why not spend the night here?"

"Get out," Long Wu scoffed, pushing Xiang Yu yfully.

Xiang Yuughed heartily, then stood up and left.

Though their rtionship was unique, they never crossed boundaries, and Xiang Yu always respected Long Wu.

Seeing Xiang Yu back in his carefree mode, Long Wu knew he remained unchanged, still the same as before.

The next day, Xiang Yu began his morning run as usual, arriving at the base to find the brothers in the bodyguard unit already up for training.

Xiao Xuan saw Xiang Yu running over and hurried over, saying, "Bro, yesterday the investigator spent about an hour, then drove off."

"How did the investigation go?" Xiang Yu asked.

"No issues, they definitely think it was the Blood Alliance’s doing," Xiao Xuan confidently assured.

Xiang Yu nodded, saying, "In a few days, if the Blood Alliance doesn’te to investigate, we’ll keep those military vehicles for our use."

Xiao Xuan quickly agreed, "No problem, I’ve checked; the engines on those vehicles are fine."
