Chapter 1891 - 1992: Difficult Arms Deal

Chapter 1891: Chapter 1992: Difficult Arms Deal

In the center of the city, this was once the ce where ck Sha and Red Sha frequently fought, and almost no one was willing toe here. But now, it’s crowded with people.

Long Wu stood on a small temporary tform in the very center, below him were eyes filled with anticipation, all eager to hear the exciting news from Long Wu’s mouth.

Long Wu felt moved standing above. Building a school was supposed to be a very ordinary thing, but unexpectedly, it ignited such a surge here.

"That’s right, I n to build a school at this location, from first grade in elementary school to high school. All students will attend for free, and the school will provide meals," Long Wu said loudly to those around him.

    "Oh..."

Everyone around cheered, and some were even in tears.

"Folks, this is just the beginning. In the future, I will build projects outside the city; everyone will be able to work there and make money. Our city will be increasingly prosperous."

Long Wu briefly exined the general n, and many people began to celebrate. Xi’er stood below, already in tears.

While Long Wu was nning to build the city, Xiang Yu was also busy handling arms purchases.

Xiao Xuan had already reached the destination, and the feedback was that everything was normal, with no ambushes in sight.

Upon hearing the feedback, Xiang Yu felt slightly relieved; perhaps he was overthinking things, but he had a nagging suspicion that this Mr. Z was not so straightforward.

Time passed quickly, and the day flew by.

Xiang Yu and ten other brothers were ready; they all knew their leader needed to buy weapons, and their hearts were filled with passion.

Once armed, Xiang Yu led them on their way.

With no transportation, all actions relied on foot travel. Luckily, the transaction location wasn’t too far from here.

It took them about three hours of walking to arrive.

A three-hour walk was nothing to Xiang Yu, having undergone training. Since returning to the city, he exercised daily, never letting go.

But those who had just joined were struggling with stamina.

They rarely exercised before and were somewhat malnourished, barely managing to keep going after three hours of walking.

Yet nobodyined; everyone’s faces were marked by determination.

"Brothers, the transaction site is not far ahead; let’s rest here briefly. If things heat upter, don’t hold back," Xiang Yu instructed.

"Don’t worry, leader. If a fight breaks out, none of us are afraid of dying," one of the men dered fiercely.

Xiang Yu nodded and said, "Good, that’s the spirit."

Aheady a patch of forest, quite concealed; transactions here wouldn’t be easily discovered by outsiders.

Here, Xiang Yu contacted Xiao Xuan via phone.

By now, Xiao Xuan had already infiltrated the woods, keeping watch for a day and night but finding no signs.

"Brother, there’s no movement here; they haven’te," Xiao Xuan said.

"Alright, understood," Xiang Yu replied and hung up, realizing he was likely overthinking.

"Let’s move out." After resting awhile, Xiang Yu called out and led the way forward.

Seeing Xiang Yu charge forward, the others followed, surrounding him.

No matter what, they would ensure Xiang Yu’s safety, as he was the future hope of the slums.

"Zhuzi, take five men and guard over there. Don’t emerge unless absolutely necessary," Xiang Yu instructed.

Tie Zhuzi nodded, selected five men, and headed in that direction.

The remaining five were positioned elsewhere by Xiang Yu, watching for his signal.

Xiang Yu hadn’t spotted Xiao Xuan; he knew Xiao Xuan was hidden somewhere nearby; he simply hadn’t located him.

After assignments were made, Xiang Yu sat alone quietly at the transaction site. By now, darkness had fallen around, and the forest was even darker.

Only the sounds of small animals could be heard. If one wasn’t brave, they wouldn’t daree alone.

Looking at the time, it was already eight o’clock at night. Xiang Yu had been waiting here for an hour, and there was still no sign of the counterpart.

Xiang Yu took out his phone and made a call.

"Hello, who is this?" A groggy voice came from the other side.

Xi’er frowned; he could tell the caller was Mr. Z, but it seemed like he had been drinking.

"We agreed to the transaction tonight," Xiang Yu said in a cold voice, feeling as if he had been yed.

"Oh, it’s you; I forgot. Let’s change the date and trade another day," Mr. Z mumbled.

"Tonight, we’re waiting for you here," Xiang Yu said and hung up.

The situation was chaotic; Z wasn’t the only arms trader around. Xiang Yu chose to transact with Z because of Su Yongzhen’s introduction.

After hanging up, Xiao Xuan called Xiang Yu to ask about the situation.

Xiao Xuan was hidden at a high spot, observing Xiang Yu and clearly seeing the anger on Xiang Yu’s face.

"No problem, be patient," Xiang Yu said decisively.

Xiang Yu hung up, continuing to wait silently. Ten minutes, twenty minutes, and finally an hour and a half passed with no sign of the counterpart.

The brothers brought by Xiang Yu were getting restless, some getting up to use the bathroom.

Xi’er noticed their restlessness but didn’t me them; these men hadn’t undergone training.

If it were him, he could remain unmoved for two days and nights here.

Around ten at night, Xiao Xuan suddenly called Xiang Yu; a vehicle was approaching from afar.

"Are you sure it’s a single vehicle?" Xiang Yu asked.

"Yes, just one car," Xiao Xuan confirmed.

Xi’er acknowledged and hung up; he didn’t inform the brothers and remained seated silently.

Ten minutester, a car drove in, stopping not far from Xiang Yu.

As the car door opened, a strong smell of alcohol wafted out. Three men staggered over.

"You—you must be the one here to buy arms, right?" The man at the front chuckled.

The two behind him alsoughed, pointing at Xiang Yu, "You’re from the slum, right? Want to buy arms? What will you pay with? Do you have money?"

"I’ve never been to the slum before, don’t know what the people there look like. Today, let me take a good look."

The three approached, circling Xiang Yu like they were observing a monkey.

"Which of you is Mr. Z?" Xiang Yu asked coldly.

"That’s me, used to be unaware you were from the slum. How did you contact Mr. S?" Mr. Z said with disdain.

Mr. S was Su Yongzhen, his code name outside.

"You’rete," Xiang Yu said, standing up and coldly ring at Mr. Z...
