Chapter 1888 - 1989: Officially Getting into the Groove

Chapter 1888: Chapter 1989: Officially Getting into the Groove

Ever since Xiang Yu talked to Sun Bost time, he had been contemting this matter.

Although he didn’t have much faith in that ce, since Xiang Yu had ns to develop there, he was prepared to fully cooperate.

During this time, he had been following the situation of Xiaoxu through all possible means and also studying the situation around the slums.

Although there were no major forces upying the slums, many forces surrounded them.

Forces like Wolf Fang, Forest Wolf, Blood Alliance, and COM had bases around.

If the slums were to develop, they would definitely be divided by these forces.

"Tell Brother Yu to act low-key." Sun Bo said.

"Don’t worry, I believe Xiang Yu has his own ns." Long Wu said.

Sun Bo thought so too. Since he was aware of these issues domestically, Xiang Yu, being in the midst of it, would understand even more clearly.

"Give me a basic rundown of the situation there." Sun Bo said.

Long Wu immediately exined the situation of the slums and rified that Xiang Yu hadpletely controlled the area.

Sun Bo was secretly astonished upon hearing this, surprised that Xiang Yu had managed to control the slums in such a short time.

Though not present, Sun Bo had heard that the internal structure of the slums wasplex and beyond the control of an average person.

Sun Bo pondered for a moment and said, "Let me think it over, and we’ll discuss it again tonight."

Long Wu acknowledged and then hung up the phone.

The surroundings here were very quiet, with no one to disturb her, which pleased her.

Back in the country, no matter where she went, a group of people would secretly follow her.

There were also some rich second-generation folks and officials wanting to invite her for meals, which she found quite annoying.

"Xiaoxuan, where’s your brother?" Long Wu asked when she saw Xiaoxuan standing at a distance.

"He went to handle something up front," Xiaoxuan replied.

Long Wu nodded and walked in the direction Xiaoxuan indicated, whenever she stopped to think, she would miss Xiang Yu intensely.

As soon as Long Wu arrived, she saw Xiang Yu and Tie Zhuzi standing together watching a group of people in training.

This was a simple training ground, set up temporarily by Xiaoxuan.

Although Xiaoxuan was quite versatile, he was not as good as Wu Jing in training others.

If the situation over at Xiaoba weren’t tense, he would have loved for Xiang Yu to invite Wu Jing over.

"Pick ten people with better skills; we’re going to pick up the goods tomorrow." Xiang Yu said seriously.

"Got it, Brother Yu." Tie Zhuzi chuckled.

Tomorrow night was the deal time with Mr. Z; though Su Yongzhen vouched for his reliability, Xiang Yu had to be cautious.

"Do you have any action nned for tomorrow?" Long Wu walked over and asked.

Tie Zhuzi saw Long Wu approaching and quickly excused himself; he didn’t want to be a third wheel.

"Nothing much, just going to pick up some goods tomorrow." Xiang Yu smiled.

"What goods?" Long Wu asked curiously.

"Weapons," Xiang Yu replied very seriously; there was no reason to hide it since he nned on expanding his influence here.

When Long Wu heard this, she didn’t ask further questions. These were Xiang Yu’s decisions, and she didn’t want to be overly involved; she knew Xiang Yu didn’t want her involved either.

"By the way, I met someone back home who looks a lot like you." Long Wu suddenly remembered and said.

"Someone?" Xiang Yu thought for a moment and said, "My brother?"

Long Wu did not speak, just looked at him seriously and said, "Think again."

Xiang Yu suddenlyughed and said, "If it’s not my brother, then it must be my father. Could it be you saw my dad?"

Long Wu, seeing that Xiang Yu seemed honest, said, "It was a child who looked exactly like you; he was like a carbon copy."

"It’s a big world; there are plenty of people who look alike." Xiang Yu said indifferently.

At that moment, something seemed to cross Xiang Yu’s mind, but upon closer thought, it vanished.

Long Wu noticed Xiang Yu’s odd expression and asked, "What’s wrong?"

Xiang Yu shook his head, "Nothing?"

"Could it be your illegitimate child?" Long Wu tested.

"Haha, what a joke; I’m still a virgin." Xiang Yu said this unabashedly.

"Go to hell." Long Wu retorted and rolled her eyes at Xiang Yu.

After leaving Xiang Yu, Long Wu began her investigation of the slums, visiting many households and gathering their opinions.

When asked about their dreams and ns for the future, most people responded with bright smiles.

Their hopes were simple: just having food, clothing, and their children not experiencing war.

Upon hearing these answers, Long Wu was filled with emotion.

Nowadays in China, most people had already achieved these conditions: food, warmth, and domestic peace. These were precisely what these people longed for.

Only by traveling out did one realize how fortunate their life had been.

"Xiaoxuan, do you know where Xi’er lives?" Long Wu finally asked.

She knew that Xiang Yu and Xi’er were only friends, but she couldn’t stand Xiang Yu being kind to beautiful women.

"Yes." Xiaoxuan answered and led the way.

When Long Wu arrived at Xi’er’s residence, she found her writing something.

Jieke was about to head out.

Seeing Long Wuing in, Jieke blushed and lowered his head, heart pounding.

He knew who this was; she was incredibly beautiful.

"Is your sister here?" Xiaoxuan asked.

    Jieke quickly nodded, "Inside."

Xiaoxuan and Long Wu went straight in.

Xi’er hadn’t expected Long Wu to visit, so she quickly stood up, feeling slightly nervous.

"May I sit down?" Long Wu asked first.

"Oh, please sit." Xi’er said and then looked at Jieke standing by the door, "Go make some tea."

Jieke quickly nodded and went to make tea.

Xiaoxuan felt a little uneasy standing there and also stepped out.

After cing the tea, Jieke came out and saw Xiaoxuan standing alone, he smiled and walked over.

Their ages were simr, but Xiaoxuan had more experience.

"Who did you learn your skills from? Can you teach me?" Jieke asked, standing beside Xiaoxuan.

"You wouldn’t be able to learn." Xiaoxuan said bluntly.

    "Why wouldn’t I? I’m very hard-working." Jieke said earnestly.

Xiaoxuan just nodded and did not pay him further attention.

"Can I call you big brother? Apart from Brother Yu, you’re the one I admire most." Jieke stood in front of Xiaoxuan.

Xiaoxuan paused for a moment, then shook his head, "I’m not a good person for you to admire."

Xiaoxuan had been with Xiang Yu since his debut, had killed countless people, likely too many to remember. Anyone posing a threat to Xiang Yu would be disposed of without hesitation.

"I know you’re not a good person, but neither am I," Jieke chuckled...
