Chapter 1885: Chapter 1986: Long Wu Refuses to Develop the Economy

"Of course this is a big deal; if you don’t make an effort, Brother Yu will be snatched away by someone else." Jieke said anxiously.
Xi’er smacked him and said, "Talking nonsense, what snatched away?"
Seeing his sister’s indifferent demeanor, Jieke then said, "I don’t care anymore; if you’re not worried, then I don’t need to be worried either."
Having said that, he turned around and walked away.
Xi’er felt ufortable inside; she was confident that her looks were top-notch here. She had never met anyone prettier than herself. She really wanted to see what kind of beauty her brother was talking about.
After thinking for a moment, she walked outside.
At this time, many of the things Xi’er bought had already been transported to Xiang Yu’s ce, where he originally nned to have Tie Zhuzi make arrangements.
However, Long Wu stopped him and said, "Let me handle it. If you let him arrange it, he might eat all the edible stuff."
Tie Zhuzi smiled awkwardly and said, "Sister Long Wu, let me help you."
Little Xuan also went along with Long Wu, leaving Xiang Yu alone standing there, lost in thought.
The task entrusted to him by the Number One from Huaxia left him with no clue, or rather, absolutely no idea where to start.
Therge military parade was due next year, yet external threats had not been eliminated, which worried Xiang Yu.
He had promised Number One to develop his forces until they were capable of contending with Wolf Fang. But now, the Long March had merely begun.
Number One hadn’t called him during this period, presumably because he had lost hope in him.
Just as Xiang Yu was wandering in his thoughts, Xi’er came over from behind.
"Why are you alone? Where are they?" Xi’er looked around.
"They’re all busy." Xiang Yu returned to reality and said with a gentle smile.
Xi’er stood next to Xiang Yu for quite a while before asking, "I heard you brought someone back, who is it?"
After asking, Xi’er regretted it a bit; it was obvious she was there to inquire about the beauty.
"A friend from Huaxia, whom I invited here to help build the city," Xiang Yu candidly replied.
He understood Xi’er’s intent, but Xiang Yu didn’t want to involve feelings; he had too many emotional debts.
"She came to build the city?" Xi’er was both excited and a little surprised after hearing this. How could such a beautiful woman have such a huge capability to be invited by Xiang Yu to build a city?
Xiang Yu nodded and did not borate, instead standing there and saying, "Our city is too backward now; we have to go out of town to buy food. In the future, I want to build arge mall in the central area and set up a ranch outside..."
Xiang Yu was full of vision as he nned, while Xi’er stood there staring dumbfounded at Xiang Yu.
The man before her was truly too attractive; she found herself unable to resist Xiang Yu’s charm.
"What do you think?" After speaking, Xiang Yu turned and nced at Xi’er.
Seeing Xi’er’s infatuated expression, she seemed one step away from kissing him.
"Xi’er? Are you alright?" Xiang Yu asked.
Only then did Xi’ere to her senses, coughing awkwardly before saying, "You’re right."
Xiang Yu: "..."
The two discussed there for a while, and just then Long Wu returned with Tie Zhuzi.
From afar, Tie Zhuzi saw Xi’er next to Xiang Yu; he nced at Little Xuan and said, "Oh right, I remembered something, gotta handle it quickly."
Little Xuan furrowed his brows, unsure what Tie Zhuzi meant. After mulling over that he was idle, he followed Long Wu towards Xiang Yu.
As they approached, he understood Tie Zhuzi’s meaning, but by then it was a bit toote to leave.
"Who’s that?" Long Wu asked Little Xuan.
"A local resident, quite capable," Little Xuan replied truthfully.
Long Wu nodded and walked straight over.
Xi’er also noticed Long Wu; the two met eyes, each harboring an indescribable hostility.
Xi’er was inwardly shocked, thinking this person so beautiful was her first time seeing someone so stunning.
"Let me introduce you," Xiang Yu broke the awkward silence.
"No need, this must be the famous Xi’er, right?" Long Wu eagerly stepped forward with her hand extended.
While distributing supplies, Long Wu heard of Xi’er’s name, just not expecting to meet so soon.
"Hello," Xi’er proactively extended her hand.
Long Wu calmly shook hands with her.
Although neither said anything excessive, Xiang Yu standing nearby felt an evident tense atmosphere.
"Since both of you are here, let’s talk about developing this city," Xiang Yu broke the stalemate.
"I’ve drafted the legal framework for the city; I’ll bring itter for you to review." Xi’er said.
No rule means no order; with armed forces now developed, all that’s missing is aplete set of systems.
"Alright, once you bring it over, we’ll discuss and promptly implement it," Xiang Yu said decisively.
"Long Wu, what do you think would be a good economy to develop here first?" Xiang Yu asked.
"I don’t n on developing anything here." Long Wu replied coldly.
Xiang Yu: "..."
Xi’er’s eyes showed panic; she ced all her hopes on this woman, but now she’s saying she doesn’t n to develop here. This made her feel a bit broken.
"Didn’t Xiang Yu invite you?" Xi’er asked worriedly.
"No, I’m just here traveling," Long Wu said calmly as she finished, then turned to walk outside.
Xiang Yu helplessly shook his head, knowing Long Wu was certainly sulking.
He nced at Little Xuan, signaling him to keep close to Long Wu to prevent any dangers.
Xi’er looked at Xiang Yu nervously and said, "What should we do? Is she angry because of me? If it’s because of me, I can leave."
Watching her anxious expression, Xiang Yu smiled and said, "Don’t overthink, focus on your work. I’ll persuade her."
Xi’er then nodded and said, "I’m sorry, I didn’t realize the nature of your rtionship, I was presumptuous."
Xi’er said that and turned to leave; she didn’t want her mistake to hinder the entire city’s development.
Between the city’s growth and personal happiness, if she had to choose one, she would choose the city’s development without hesitation.
This is her hometown, thend she passionately loves. Since she was young, she vowed to build up this entire city.
Long Wu indeed harbored some petnce, but mostly, she didn’t want to develop here.
It’s extremely poor; she wasn’t obligated to help develop it, seeing as it’s not Huaxia here either.
As Long Wu wandered the streets, the crowd on both sides grew denser, pointing and whispering.
Long Wu became aware of the situation and felt a bit worried. She then looked at Little Xuan and asked, "What are they up to?"
Little Xuan also shook his head in helpless puzzlement...
