Chapter 1800: Chapter 1801: More Dangerous Than a Direct Assault

Rumus, though puzzled, still switched to another phone to call Xiang Yu.
"Are you worried that I’m being monitored?" Rumus wasn’t a fool; he understood what Xiang Yu meant.
"Not sure, but probably that’s the case." Xiang Yu replied.
Rumus was so angry there that he started pacing around anxiously, and said, "I’ll report this to the higher-ups. What is this about? You helped us, yet now they want to do this to you. It’s unfair to you."
Rumus was genuinely worried for Xiang Yu. Xiang Yu had helped him many times, and he already saw Xiang Yu as a close friend.
"No, doing that will affect your career." Xiang Yu chuckled.
Xiang Yu didn’t care whether or not he was a criminal on the list in Little Bar; it’s not his country, and besides, he’s involved in the mercenary world, which Little Bar certainly won’t allow after things settle down.
"I don’t care about my career. If I have to do something so treacherous, I can’t go through with it." Rumus yelled.
"Alright, let’s not talk about that now. I have something I need your help with." Xiang Yu said.
"Just tell me what it is." Rumus responded inly.
"Has your position been restored?" Xiang Yu asked.
"Not yet, but it’s only a matter of time. The higher organization is looking into it now. If nothing goes wrong, my position will be even higher." Mentioning this, Rumus couldn’t hide his excitement.
"That’s good. I’ve found some hiding spots of the rebels. Once you’re reinstated, we can take them down together." Xiang Yu said.
"Really? Where are they hiding?" Rumus said excitedly.
Throughout his life, he detested rebels and terrorists the most. Upon hearing about the rebels, he couldn’t wait to go and wipe them out.
"Don’t be in such a rush. Once you formally take office, I will share the information with you." Xiang Yu smiled lightly.
"Alright, I’ll wait for your news." Rumus trusted Xiang Yu wouldn’t deceive him.
"Let’s leave it at that for now. I’ll contact you then." Xiang Yu said.
"Hold on, Xiang Yu." Rumus worried that Xiang Yu would hang up, quickly spoke.
Both paused a moment, then Rumus said very sentimentally, "Thank you."
Xiang Yu simply smiled faintly without much to say, then directly hung up the call.
After hanging up, someone reported that Rff wanted to meet Xiang Yu.
Xiang Yu went straight to the room where Rff was confined, only to see Rff tied up securely sitting there.
If not for Xiang Yu knowing he was Rff, who would think this person was once the second-inmand in Little Bar’s political stage?
"Your people should be almost rescued, right?" Rff looked at Xiang Yu with some confusion.
"No movement yet." Xiang Yu replied calmly.
"Release me, I need to make a call." Rff said anxiously upon hearing this.
This matter rted to his freedom, so he was rather concerned.
"You still want to make a call, do you think this is your backyard?" Tie Zhuzi walked over in an annoyed manner.
Rff, worried that Tie Zhuzi might knock him out, quickly said, "This isn’t my backyard, say what you want without resorting to violence."
Xiang Yu stopped Tie Zhuzi and then signaled him to untie the rope.
Tie Zhuzi reluctantly untied the rope and muttered, "You better not try any tricks, otherwise I’ll keep you in a dazed state forever."
Rff shivered at hearing this, as the effect of being knocked out repeatedly was unpleasant.
If he had to remain in this state forever, he’d rather be dead.
Xiang Yu sat on the sofa beside him and tossed the phone onto the table.
Rff picked up the phone and made a call.
The recipient was Commander Cao, who heard Rff’s voice and chuckled, "What’s the hurry?"
Rff replied irritably, "Commander Cao, you promised, so you have to keep your word."
"No worries, my men are working on the rescue, why are you anxious?" Commander Cao said calmly.
"When can they be rescued?" Rff asked.
"Tonight my men will take action. You better have someone to meet them; otherwise, if my men rescue them and they get caught again, don’t me me." Commander Cao instructed.
Rff nced at Xiang Yu, then asked, "What time tonight?"
Commander Cao snorted coldly, "Listen, Rff, you’re no longer the second-inmand. You’re of no use to me. You’re begging me now, and if you use that tone again, I’ll kill you."
Commander Cao hung up directly after speaking. He used to respect Rff, but now that Rff is a fugitive in Little Bar, his value for utilization has greatly diminished.
Rff, filled with anger, was about to smash the phone when Tie Zhuzi stepped forward and grabbed his hand.
"You can’t afford to pay if you break the phone." Tie Zhuzi said annoyingly.
Rff was extremely frustrated; he used to be the high-ranking second-inmand, yet now he’s fallen to this stage where anyone can bully him.
"You heard what was said, they will act tonight, and they need us to cooperate from outside." Rff said to Xiang Yu.
Xiang Yu nodded without speaking.
Rff didn’t see any emotion on Xiang Yu’s face, so he asked, "When will you escort me to the South?"
"After rescuing my brother." Xiang Yu said, and stood up.
Tie Zhuzi then punched Rff in the back of the neck, and Rff, unprepared, fainted.
Returning to his room, Xiang Yu spread out the map to start studying the jail’syout.
Soon after, Tie Zhuzi came over excitedly, "Brother Yu, is there something happening tonight?"
Xiang Yu smiled and nodded, "Go inform the brothers to be on standby. We have a big task tonight."
Tie Zhuzi nodded seriously and ran out, just as Xiao Xuan hurriedly walked back in.
"We have a big battle tonight, prepare yourself." Tie Zhuzi said impatiently to Xiao Xuan.
Xiao Xuan, not knowing the situation, didn’t pay Tie Zhuzi any mind and went straight to Xiang Yu’s room.
"Brother, I’m back." Xiao Xuan said breathlessly.
"Come take a look at the prison terrain map." Without time for pleasantries, Xiang Yu pulled Xiao Xuan over.
The terrain here was surveyed by Xiao Xuan’s men, so he was more familiar with the surroundings.
After exining everything he knew, Xiao Xuan asked, "Brother, you’re not nning a frontal assault, are you?"
Xiang Yu looked at the map for a while and said, "Almost, it might be riskier than a frontal assault."
Xiao Xuan did not understand Xiang Yu’s implications, and did not ask further, continuing to study the map.
Xiao Xuan was a sniper originally, focusing on high points and difficult-to-attack areas, while Xiang Yu was nning where to set ambushes...
