Capítulo 1713: Chapter 1714: Wolf King Stations at Little Ba
“Wolf King, there’s someone else they’ve captured, someone you’ll definitely want to meet.” Wang Qian said confidently.
“Oh? Let’s hear it.” Ye Qian replied.
There aren’t many people the Wolf King wants to meet, and those he does want to see, he usually manages to see.
Now that Wang Qian mentioned it with such confidence, he was a bit curious and quickly thought it over in his mind, but couldn’t think of anyone worth meeting.
“Xiang Yu.” Wang Qian said.
Ye Qian froze for a moment, then looked at Wang Qian in confusion and asked, “Are you talking about Xiang Yu? The one who saved me in China back then?”
“That’s him.” Wang Qian said happily.
Ye Qian was not surprised; his face turned slightly somber as he looked at Wang Qian and asked, “You’re saying Xiang Yu is still alive?”
Wang Qian nodded, “Indeed, he’s still alive. I reported this to Kuros at the time. Didn’t he tell you?”
As Wang Qian spoke, she nced at Kuros, who was sitting to one side and had been smiling at her.
Seeing both Ye Qian and Wang Qian turning to look at him, Kuros awkwardly smiled and said, “Who’s Xiang Yu? I’ve never heard of such a person before.”
Previously, Ye Qian gave an order that anyone in Wolf Fang should immediately report any news about Xiang Yu.
Now that Wang Qian had found Xiang Yu and reported it, it had somehow been stuck with Kuros.
Seeing Ye Qian’s face growing increasingly grim, Kuros realized the severity of the problem and looked at Wang Qian, “Why didn’t you tell me about something this important sooner?”
Feeling the pressure in the air, Wang Qian said, “I’m sorry, that was my oversight.”
The gloom on Ye Qian’s face didn’tst long. He then turned to Wang Qian and asked, “You said Xiang Yu was also captured by them?”
Wang Qian quickly nodded, “That’s right, but they don’t seem to mean Xiang Yu any harm; rather, they want him to join them.”
“Do you think Xiang Yu willply?” Ye Qian asked.
After spending so much time with Xiang Yu, Wang Qian still had a good understanding of him.
Although Xiang Yu appeared to agree on the surface, it was just an expedient measure to save his life for now.
Wang Qian shook her head and said, “Based on my understanding of him, he would never yield to anyone. He’s a cunning strategist; on the surface, he seems carefree, but everything is within his n.”
“That impressive?” Ye Qian looked at Wang Qian with a half-smile.
Wang Qian solemnly nodded, “I’ve interacted with him before. Now that we’re both in the mercenary world andmunicate more often, I understand him even more.”
As Wang Qian talked, she inadvertently nced at Ye Qian, and her face instantly turned red.
“We’re just regr friends, don’t read too much into it.” Wang Qian quickly lowered her head, her heart still fluttering.
That expression, in everyone’s eyes, clearly looked like a young girl falling in love.
Ye Qian chuckled and said, “I didn’t say anything; you don’t need to exin.”
Wang Qian knew that although Ye Qian hadn’t voiced anything, his expression had said it all.
None of them noticed at that moment that Kuros, sitting to the side, had a sullen face, with a cold gleam in his eyes.
He had always liked Wang Qian and had confessed to her multiple times, but Wang Qian always acted as if she didn’t know, which made him feel like coughing up blood.
He was a mid-level leader in Wolf Fang, holding quite a prestigious position, thinking no one couldpare to him besides the Wolf King.
The Wolf King showed no interest in such matters, so Kuros had always seen Wang Qian as his own.
Thest time Wang Qian reported on Xiang Yu’s situation, he hadn’t paid much attention, assuming he was just a petty troublemaker. Now it seemed that wasn’t the case.
“You mentioned earlier that Xiang Yu has his own ns?” Ye Qian asked again.
Seeing Ye Qian bring the topic back, Wang Qian adjusted her mindset before looking up and nodding, “Indeed, he always acts with a n and doesn’t blindly take risks. Besides…”
Wang Qian paused for a moment before continuing, “He was probably captured this time to save me.”
“Hmph, wishful thinking, saving you? He can’t be that much of a fool.” Kuros, sitting to one side, said disdainfully.
In his view, Xiang Yu was just a pretty boy who knew how to fool girls, undoubtedly telling Wang Qian something after being captured, making her mistakenly think he was there to save her.
“Xiang Yu is not what you think. He may appear careless, but he is inherently upright. If you haven’t had deep interactions with him, you won’t truly understand who he is,” Wang Qian defended Xiang Yu.
All of Wang Qian’s expressions were imprinted in Kuros’s eyes, and he was now more convinced that Wang Qian had fallen for this pretty boy.
Ye Qian thought for a moment and said, “From what you’re saying, Xiang Yu should be temporarily safe; we don’t need to intervene for now.”
Wang Qian nodded, “But, what if they ask us for information?”
She was referring to Ryan, as she had already promised the other side. But if they truly provided information, then Wolf Fang would be involved in the internal political struggle in Little Ba, viting the original rules of Wolf Fang.
“I’ll stay here for a while and adapt as the situation develops,” the Wolf King sighed, “The rebels within Little Ba aren’t that simple. They’re connected to an international mysterious organization, likely the same group that captured mest time.”
“What?” Wang Qian eximed in surprise.
Last time when the Wolf King was captured in China, Xiang Yu inadvertently saved him.
The Wolf King had originally nned to lead an army over, but that base was taken over by the Chinese military, and the mysterious organization vanished again.
Besides, mercenaries aren’t allowed on Chinese soil, making it near impossible for revenge.
Ye Qian had been secretly investigating that mysterious organization; now, he received the news that the rebels in Little Ba were linked to the organization, which brought him here.
Coincidentally, Wang Qian happened to be captured too, originally nning a rescue mission. However, Wang Qian got out on her own and even conveyed Xiang Yu’s status to him.
Back when Ye Qian waited for days in the Northeast of China for Xiang Yu, although it was regrettable, he thought Xiang Yu perished.
Receiving news today that Xiang Yu was alive brought him immense joy.
Though he didn’t know Xiang Yu well, he knew the man was definitely a talent. If possible, he wanted to recruit Xiang Yu into Wolf Fang.
Besides, Wang Qian had feelings for him, which just yed into their hands.
After making ns, Ye Qian looked at Wang Qian and said, “Inform the brothers below to keep a close eye on the rebels and Xiang Yu’s situation. Report any developments immediately.”
Wang Qian nodded quickly, “I understand.”
Ye Qian then nodded, turning to Kuros, “I’ll be staying here for a while; you should head back first.”
