Chapter 1704 - 1705: Mercenary Groups Involved in State Affairs

Chapter 1704: Chapter 1705: Mercenary Groups Involved in State Affairs

"I already mentioned earlier, we are allies," Ryan said with a smile.

Scar sat there motionless, his eyes fixated on Xiang Yu. A couple of days ago, when Xiang Yu went to their neighborhood entrance, he didn’t manage to take him down, which was a mistake on his part.

Xiang Yu noticed Scar’s venomous gaze but didn’t get angry. Instead, he threw Scar a yful wink.

Scar was so furious he could hardly contain himself, silently vowing that if he ever got another chance, he wouldn’t hesitate to kill Xiang Yu.

Ryan noticed their exchange but didn’t intervene. He merely smiled and said, "Since we are allies, it’s quite obvious what that implies. We hope all forces will join us, and together we’ll conquer the world."

"I can agree, but first, get rid of Xiang Yu," Scar said coldly.

"Same here. I’ll join, but only if you kill this ugly freak first," Xiang Yu said.

Hearing himself being called an ugly freak, Scar mmed the table angrily, stood up, and pointed at Xiang Yu, "You’re looking for a death wish, aren’t you?"

"I’m looking for death, soe and kill me," Xiang Yu stood up and shouted back.

Both looked aggressive, as if they were about to fight.

Ryan couldn’t help but chuckle to himself. These two were impulsive; controlling them might be difficult, but they could be used effectively.

"Gentlemen, no need to be rash. You’re on my turf, Ryan’s turf, and I hope you’ll give me some face," Ryan said politely, though there was an undertone of threat.

"Tch, if this weren’t your turf, I would’ve torn this ugly freak apart long ago," Xiang Yu said dismissively.

"You..." Scar almost lost his temper again, but Ryan was right; they were on his turf, so a little respect was warranted.

Seeing the two calm down, Ryan said, "Thank you both for the courtesy. The main reason for inviting you here was to convey something."

"You want us to join your alliance?" Wang Qian asked.

Now she understood. The other side was the insurgents, and they’d brought the three of them here to make them pledge allegiance to the insurgency.

"It’s not about joining; it’s about cooperation," Ryan said with a smile. "Whether it’s your Wolf Fang, or the Timber Wolves, and..."

Ryan looked at Xiang Yu, momentarily at a loss. Wolf Fang and Timber Wolves were international organizations, while Xiang Yu seemed tock such a background.

"You all have arge organizational background. I can’t force you to join us; I merely hope you would assist our operations locally," Ryan said.

"And if we refuse?" Wang Qian said with a stony face.

Now that she knew her environment and their identities and intentions, Wang Qian resumed her air of authority.

"You will agree," Ryan said with a smile directed at Wang Qian.

Even though he was smiling, everyone could sense the threatced within his expression.

The insurgents held significant power in Little Pab, unparalleled by those in the mercenary world.

"Let’s hear why we would agree," Wang Qian sneered, as if she’d heard an amusing joke.

"Because Little Pab will soon be part of our alliance’s realm," Ryan said confidently.

Xiang Yu sat there, giving off an air of drowsiness, but internally he was shocked and restless.

One thing was clear from Ryan’s words: the insurgents were definitely plotting something.

"Ridiculous," Wang Qian said, not bothering to hide her disdain. Then she added, "You’vepletely ignored ****."

"****?" Ryan sneered, "It’s not that I’ve ignored them; they’re just not a threat. Give it some time, and you’ll see they’ve beencent for too long and have littlebat capability."

After Ryan spoke, the room fell into silence as if everyone was reflecting.

"What’s in it for me if I join?" Scar suddenly asked.

Ryan knew Scar had been considering this and replied, "Your structures remain unchanged. We provide weapons and ammunition, and in return, you supply us with intelligence and stand ready for our directives."

"Ready to take orders from you?" Scar frowned. "If you send us into battle to die, do we really have to go first?"

Ryan shook his head and smiled, "Of course, we won’t send you to the front lines. We just hope you can achieve a surprise victory at critical moments. You’re a mercenary group, officially recognized by ****, so they won’t suspect you. Just help us at key moments, and it could be game-changing."

"What benefits do we get if we seed?" Scar asked.

"You’ll be part of our alliance, enjoying the fruits of victory," Ryan said.

Ryan spoke without boration, as he couldn’t yet ascertain the trio’s stance.

His decision to include these three mercenary groups in the alliance had been carefully thought through.

Neither Scar nor Wang Qian and Xiang Yu were from Little Pab. The international situation there had little bearing on them.

Their reason for forming mercenary groups here was simple: ’profits.’ As long as they received enough benefits, they didn’t care who governed.

Ryan had conducted thorough investigations, particrly on Xiang Yu, whose talent was substantial but whose ethics werecking, making him the easiest to sway.

"If we seed in the end, you must let us partake in governing," Scar stated decisively.

Scar was a man of ambition. He could join, but if sessful, he must be involved in building the new government.

Scar’s statement stunned not only Ryan but also Wang Qian and Xiang Yu.

They weren’t foolish and naturally discerned Scar’s intentions.

Scar was now the leader of the Timber Wolves stationed in Little Pab, and it seemed his ambition was to establish a nation.

Whether this was a directive from the top brass of the Timber Wolves or Scar’s personal vision remained unclear.

If it were Scar’s own ambition, it would be remarkably audacious.

"Haha..." Ryan was momentarily taken aback, but after a few seconds, he burst into heartyughter and then said heartily, "Of course, as long as you fully assist us, when we seize power, the country will include your share."

Originally, Ryan intended for the three to assist him, providing intelligence and conducting some underground activities.

Now, with the Timber Wolves proposing such a suggestion, it indicated they would do their utmost to assist him, even openly opposing ****.

"If that’s the way, I’ll join, but you must guarantee our organizational structure remains unchanged. If you have other intentions, I will withdraw immediately," Scar said.

"Naturally, your men will follow your orders without our intervention," Ryan assured.

"Better be that way," Scar replied.

Scar had made up his mind; he would join them. That was his purpose for attending today...
