Chapter 1552: Chapter 1553: All-Out Mobilization to Capture the Criminals

Indeed, heroes recognize heroes. Everyone here is elite, and they can naturally tell that these ten people are not simple.
"Commander, they’ve appeared." One of the captains said, slightly excited.
But if it’s just these ten people, Rumus bringing in half a military district seems like overkill.
Rumus was a bit disappointed, but at least his efforts weren’t in vain.
As long as he captures these few, he can then follow the clues back to their base. He couldn’t believe he wouldn’t find it.
"First Battalion, Third Company, Second toon, intercept them. Everyone else be ready to support, move." Rumus ordered.
He had installed a lot of advanced equipment around, such as bugs and thermal imaging cameras.
Every move the enemy made was within his control.
It’s now basically confirmed that the enemy only brought a dozen or so people, not therge force he imagined.
Second toon, upon receiving the order, took the initiative to attack, then surged out from the surroundings.
The dozen or so people were quick to react. When they saw people rushing out, they immediately decided to fight their way out.
They were all veterans from the battlefield, easily alerted by the slightest movement around them.
The dozen or so opposing forces first opened fire on the Second toon.
The toon didn’t expect the enemy to be so decisive, and in a moment of carelessness, two of their team were killed outright.
"We’ve got two hit, status unknown." One person said angrily.
"Don’t be careless, Second toon must stay safe." Rumus shouted there.
After all, this is a battlefield, and deaths are a normal part of it. No need to make a fuss.
The dozen or so on the opposing side, seeing the situation wasn’t in their favor, quickly took cover behind a wall to observe the surroundings.
The Second toon continuously nked from the surroundings, familiar with the terrain and knowing where the enemy was hiding.
"Commander, they’re trapped. Let’s charge in and capture them." One battalion leader suggested.
"No, it’s just a dozen people, Second toon can handle it." Rumus responded decisively.
For some reason, he felt the situation might not be that simple. If they had only sent these dozen, he’d let Second toon handle it while others observed.
Second toon knew everyone was watching them, a prime chance to prove themselves. If they messed up, everyone would know by the next day.
"Brothers, everyone’s watching. We can’t lose face now." The toon leader gritted his teeth.
Due to their earlier carelessness, they lost tworades. They couldn’t afford another loss.
They advanced incrementally, holding assault rifles, never rxing for a moment.
The ce behind the wall was where the enemy was hiding, and they nked from different directions.
"You’re surrounded, surrender now." The toon leader suddenly shouted.
It’s now a matter of breaking the enemy’s morale. If they couldn’t withstand the pressure and came out hands raised, that’d be best.
Behind the wall, someone was holding a radio, speaking.
"Report to the leader, we’re surrounded. About twenty people are closing in on us." One person reported.
"I knew there was an ambush." A calm voice on the phone said, "How many are there?"
"Exact numbers unclear, just that a toon of about twenty is closing in." The person replied.
"Take them out." The voice on the phone coolly said, as if it was as easy as snapping fingers.
"Understood." The person acknowledged, then hung up.
He signaled to those around him and pulled out two grenades, throwing them into the surroundings.
Rumus’s men weren’t pushovers. Seeing things thrown, their first thought was grenades.
One with good marksmanship shot the grenades mid-air.
The two grenades exploded in the sky with deafening roars, lighting up the entire sky.
The distant vige lights went out instantly. They were just ordinary folk, not wanting to get entangled in anything.
It was night; if they left the lights on, a random bomb might juste their way.
The trapped people didn’t expect their foe’s marksmanship to be so precise.
They didn’t panic, instead firing a volley towards the surroundings.
"Brothers, give it to them hard. Let’s see how many they’ve actually got." One terrorist said.
Another Second toon soldier was shot and fell, luckily not critically.
"Fire at will." The toon leader shouted anxiously.
Second toon fired from various angles, closing in on the wall.
The terrorists also didn’t remain idle, continuously observing the circumstances. Seeing a weak spot directly ahead, they decided to bust through.
"Everyone, follow me, charge." One shouted, jumping over the wall.
The rest agilely followed, leaping over the wall.
Their swift movements and decisiveness caught Second toon off-guard.
They thought the enemy would hunker down, fighting a long battle, not daringly charge out.
"Comrades, don’t let them escape." The toon leader shouted.
Second toon rushed out, charging at the remaining terrorists.
The terrorists were clearly well-trained and experienced.
Two Second toon members blocking the way were mercilessly shot, prompting the terrorists to continue running.
The Second toon membersgged, and the toon leader anxiously said into themunicator, "Sorry, Commander, we can’t hold them; they’re about to break through."
Rumus was surprised by how good and deadly their opponents were.
Now focused solely on capturing them, he yelled into the radio, "Everyone, block the exits, apprehend them."
No sooner had he given the order, the whole battalion surfaced to block the path.
Second Battalion sealed the route behind, leaving the terrorists trapped with no escape.
Seeing the dense military around them, the terrorist said over the radio, "We’re surrounded; hundreds of them. There’s no getting out."
