Chapter 1460 - 1461: Brotherhood of Life and Death on the Battlefield

Chapter 1460: Chapter 1461: Brotherhood of Life and Death on the Battlefield

Twenty minutes had passed, and Xiang Yu remained seated without moving. At this moment, his determination was gradually being worn down.

Here, every minute wasted posed a significant threat to the safety of his brothers. He couldn’t let so many brothers take risks with him.

"Attention everyone." Just then, Xiang Yu suddenly spoke into the radio.

At this time, everyone who hade with him held their positions, and they all stopped to listen to Xiang Yu speak.

"If you hear gunshots or explosionster, don’te here. Leave quickly and get out of here as fast as you can," Xiang Yu said seriously.

The radio was quiet as they tried to understand what Xiang Yu truly meant.

"Brother Yu, why do you sound like you’re about to gantly sacrifice yourself?" Tie Zhuzi suddenly said.

"Boss, don’t say that. We can’t just leave you behind to walk away by ourselves."

"That’s right, Boss, you’re our idol. How could we abandon our idol to save our own skin? Besides, we came here fully prepared. None of us are cowardly. If you want us to leave, it’s only over our dead bodies."

Many expressed their stance over the radio. They followed Xiang Yu here of their own free will; none were afraid of death.

"What are you guys babbling on about?" Xiang Yu suddenlyughed easily and said, "You all misunderstood me. I meant I found another safe route. If something happens, you can retreat first; I have my own way to retreat."

Xiang Yu spoke casually, as if all of this was just a joke to him.

But his words did not convince them, especially Tie Zhuzi, who, after following Xiang Yu for so long, knew him best.

"Brother Yu, just focus on the rescue. We know what to do," Tie Zhuzi chuckled.

Xiang Yu helplessly shook his head, knowing his brothers were determined to follow him down this path.

He turned to look at Li Bingbing, just about to speak.

At that moment, Li Bingbing hurriedly said, "Don’t tell me to leave. I want to stay with you. If we die, we die together."

Xiang Yu knew Li Bingbing wasn’t lying; she had genuinely made this decision.

But her resolve only made Xiang Yu feel more guilty inside.

"Wait here for me. When I rush outter, we’ll leave together," Xiang Yu said earnestly.

Li Bingbing thought for a moment, then nodded, "I’ll wait here for you, and I won’t leave if you don’te out."

Xiang Yu saw a stubborn determination on her face, a persistence for love.

Xiang Yu smiled confidently, then stood up, ready to charge inside.

Since bing a soldier, Xiang Yu had faced countless life-and-death situations. He had missions to rescue in the past.

But back then, it was always just him, resolute and focused, even if it meant risking his life.

But now he came with a team, solely because of his attachment to the person he was saving. He couldn’t tolerate any mishap urring to Zhong Min.

Even in this dangerous environment, taking Xiang Yu’s life wouldn’t be easy.

No matter life or death, he would meet Zhong Min today.

"Be careful," Xiang Yu said, intending to turn and dash forward.

"Xiang Yu..." It was then that Li Bingbing suddenly called out to him, suddenly feeling like she was about to lose him.

Xiang Yu turned and smiled just as he was about to speak, when a car suddenly approached from afar.

He quickly hid behind a tree, watching as the car got closer, and an idea sprang to mind.

He nodded towards Li Bingbing, then swiftly dashed towards the edge of the woods.

As Xiang Yu reached the roadside, the car happened to pass by. He rolled to the ground, slipped under the car, and quickly grabbed onto a handle beneath it.

The entire process was unnned, merely an instantaneous thought.

Li Bingbing watched from the shadows, covering her mouth; the car almost ran over Xiang Yu, scaring her into almost crying out.

The driver, still whistling, had a person beside him who frowned and said, "I thought I saw a shadow just now. Could someone be trying to escape?"

"Nonsense! If someone managed to escape from the car, that would be a real miracle," the driver said dismissively.

The other person shook his head, not responding, assuming his eyes had deceived him.

The car drove forward, with sentries posted on buildings nking the dungeon, who merely nced at the car without observing it closely.

As the car approached the dungeon gate, two men with guns walked over.

"How many today?" one of them shouted to the driver.

"Count yourself, and don’t be noisy here," the driver replied impatiently.

Everyone was celebrating, while he was stuck driving prisoners, which left him quite disgruntled.

The soldier didn’t argue with him, and casually walked to the back to open the trunk.

Inside the trunk, four prisoners were shackled and then disembarked.

The soldier ignored the driver and escorted the prisoners inside.

Another soldier waved at the driver, "Go quickly, go home to your wife."

The driver didn’t reply, driving off quickly.

The remaining soldier shook his head helplessly, then turned to resume his post.

Just as he turned, he felt a sudden darkness as a shadow appeared before him.

His instincts told him something was off. He wanted to step back and assess the situation.

But as he was stepping back, Xiang Yu suddenly struck him on the neck, knocking him out.

After knocking the man out, Xiang Yu quickly dragged him a few steps inside, dodging the sightlines of patrolling guards on both sides of the building.

Li Bingbing watched intently from afar. Though the guards couldn’t see Xiang Yu, she could observe his every move clearly from her vantage point.

Fortunately, Xiang Yu moved quickly. Otherwise, being spotted by the guards would render everything futile.

She watched as Xiang Yu dragged the man to one side of the gate and propped him in a strange posture.

From a distance, the man looked like he was sleeping.

Xiang Yu hid beside him, waiting quietly. Luckily, no one came by. Otherwise, they’d easily spot him.

Xiang Yu gave a thumbs-up towards the distant woods, signaling Li Bingbing not to worry; everything was under control.

"Who knows what crimes these fourmitted to end up here. Well, they’ll have a rough time now," the returning soldier muttered as he walked out of the dungeon.

He saw hispanion leaning against the wall as if asleep, and approached to wake him. It was still early; if sleepiness set in now, this night would be unbearable...
