Chapter 1234: 1234: Xiang Yu Has Become Famous This Time

Chapter 1234: Chapter 1234: Xiang Yu Has Be Famous This Time

“I have him under house arrest,” Yuan Huai volunteered.

He then exined how Poison Rose had failed to assassinate the rival’s general manager, and just happened to be seen by Qing Gang’s Cao Ge earlier. Coupled with reports that Jin Guozhong was colluding with Qing Gang, Yuan Huai was left with no choice but to put Jin Guozhong under house arrest.

“You did the right thing,” Xiang Yu said with a faint smile.

Xiang Yu knew for a fact that Jin Guozhong would never conspire with outside forces. He was merely saying this to save face for Yuan Huai.

After all, Yuan Huai had been the acting Sect Leader before his return. Regardless of whether Yuan Huai’s decisions were right or wrong, Xiang Yu had to maintain hisposure, especially in front of their brothers.

Yuan Huai merely nodded and said, “Now that you’re back, I’ll leave everything here to you. I have business to attend to, I’ll be in City No. 2 for a while.”

Yuan Huai knew that Xiang Yu was being considerate of his honor. Staying here would just hamper Xiang Yu’s ns, so he might as well leave for a while, and he’d been missing Long Wu, giving him a good reason to visit.

Xiang Yu nodded, “That’s fine, you’ve worked hardtely, take this opportunity to rx outside.”

That night, Xiang Yu simply greeted everyone casually, avoiding discussions about matters of the sect.

Yuan Huai left the next morning. He finally felt a sense of relief.

Xiang Yu then gathered three people from the Hongmen: Jin Zhengming, responsible for economic security, Poison Rose of The Dark Department, and Jin Guozhong, Hall Master of Enforcement Hall.

When Jin Guozhong realized Xiang Yu was still alive, he was so pleased he nearly jumped for joy.

Though his time with Xiang Yu had been brief, he harbored immense trust in him.

“I have an announcement to make,” Xiang Yu said with a smile as he looked at the three. “You are all high-ranking officials in the Hongmen, I will not tolerate any actions that betray the sect.”

To Xiang Yu, he always believed in holding trust; employing people without suspicion and not employing those he suspected. With him being away for over a month, he was unsure of what had transpired in his absence.

Jin Guozhong knew Xiang Yu was primarily directing his words at him, so he stepped forward, “I resign from the position of Hall Master of the Enforcement Hall.”

    “Feeling guilty?” Xiang Yuughed.

“I’ve always acted with integrity, why would I feel guilty?” Jin Guozhong said righteously.

“If that’s the case, then why resign?” said Xiang Yu, signaling Jin Guozhong to stop talking further. “Just focus on managing the Enforcement Hall effectively.”

“Hall Master Jin, there have been some disturbancestely. You must ensure the safety of enterprises, any form of production sabotage is uneptable,” Xiang Yu said, growing serious.

Jin Zhengming straightened his back, “Rest assured Sect Leader, as long as I’m here, no harm wille to any of Hongqing Group’s businesses.”

Xiang Yu nodded and then looked at Poison Rose, “Find out who’s been spreading rumors within Hongmen. They must have been bribed; capture them and hand them to Hall Master Jin.”

Jin Guozhong felt touched; it was clear Xiang Yu still had faith in him, stirring a feeling that nearly brought him to tears.

“I reiterate, I trust each one of you,” Xiang Yu smiled at the three.

At that moment, they all felt a warmth inside them that no amount of money or benefit could provide.

“Sect Leader Xiang, I, Jin Zhengming, swear a grave oath here, I will never betray Hongmen. If I find anyone selling us out, I’ll tear them apart,” Jin Zhengming dered resolutely.

Xiang Yu patted his shoulder and said little, “Carry on with your tasks.”

Just then Tie Zhuzi rushed in from outside, clutching something in his hands.

“Brother Yu, there’s been an incident,” Tie Zhuzi sat beside Xiang Yu, handing him the object.

On it was arge image with the word ‘Fugitive’ emzoned above.

Upon seeing it, Xiang Yu chuckled; he had be a wanted man.

Back in City No. 2, Gao Zhitao had managed to suppress this information from leaking. But things were different here.

When Jin Guozhong and the others saw it, their faces turned ashen. They gazed at Xiang Yu with disbelief.

They weren’t strangers to illegality, havingmitted crimes themselves, but public notices calling for Xiang Yu’s arrest had never been experienced before.

The implications could range from minor to major. Should certain departments take this seriously, it could blow up.

This was precisely why Su Yongzhen had to escape aftermitting murder; a high-profile crime that left him with no choice.

Xiang Yu’s predicament mirrored that scenario, but his demeanor remained calm, which reassured them somewhat.

“Sect Leader, don’t worry about this, I’ll just find someone that looks like you to take the fall,” Jin Zhengming suggested.

Though they didn’t view the situation with much concern, having their Sect Leader publicly depicted was unsettling.

Xiang Yu gestured dismissively, “I’ll keep a low profile for now, everyone should stay vignt outside.”

Xiang Yu understood his predicament was due to Commander Cao. He must’ve filed a report to the higher-ups, leaving Xiang Yu with nowhere to hide nationwide.

“Rest assured, we’ll take care of everything,” Jin Guozhong promised.

Xiang Yu nodded, letting them resume their duties.

Gazing at his own portrait before him, Xiang Yu gritted his teeth and let out a cold snort. The enmity with Commander Cao was no less than life-threatening, and he was also Xiao Xuan’s sworn enemy. One day, he would settle the score with themander.

But as of now, Commander Cao was still a military districtmander, beyond Xiang Yu’s power to undermine. He could only entrust this task to Gao Mantang.

Additionally, there was a blue eagle tattooed on Commander Cao’s back, a mystery Xiang Yu had yet to solve, though it surely linked to their experiments in City No. 6.

For now, Xiang Yu needed to focus on current issues. Thinking of Hongqing Group, he called Sun Bo on the phone, summoning him.

The night before, Xiang Yu had already spoken with Sun Bo, asking him to reim leadership of Hongqing Group.

Sun Bo had made his intentions clear. The crisis that gripped Hongqing Group was partly due to Xiang Yu’s absence, leading Sun Bo to bex.

Additionally, Sun Bo had orchestrated a deception, feigning weakness to lull Qinglu Group intocency.

In truth, he had been quietly consolidating power, unbeknownst to Yuan Huai who was out of the loop on economic matters, leading to Sun Bo’s dismissal.

Now that Sun Bo was reinstated as the general manager of Hongqing Group, the timing was perfect for a counterattack.

Meanwhile, up north in another city along the Yangtze, a man sat calmly on a sofa, holding a paper bearing Xiang Yu’s portrait.

“Xiang Yu, you’ve really made a name for yourself this time,” he sneered coldly…
