    Speaking, Fu Xingchuan suddenly leaned in, whispering a phrase only the two of them could hear.


    Chi Yue’s cheeks zed as she was about to retort, but the door burst open, revealing Fu Rongyin and Chi Jianshan outside.


    Upon seeing Chi Yue, Chi Jianshan exhaled a sigh of relief, then, wearing a grim expression, he yanked Fu Xingchuan out.


    When Fu Rongyin caught sight of Chi Yue’splexion, his shadowed eyes seemed unfathomably deep.


    Chi Yue’s face, still flushed from Fu Xingchuan’sment, burned anew upon seeing Fu Rongyin.


    The two locked eyes in silence, neither uttering a word.


    Their standoff was punctuated by cries of pain from Fu Xingchuan downstairs, prompting Fu Rongyin to be the first to look away, "Lock the door well."


    He closed the door behind him, severing Chi Yue’s view.


    Immediately, Chi Yue bolted the door, cursing herself inwardly forcking resolve, for allowing him to stir her.


    What transpired downstairs afterward was unknown to Chi Yue.


    The next day at breakfast, she saw Fu Xingchuan, who was silently eating. She couldn’t help but take a few extra nces.


    Perhaps sensing her gaze, he suddenly looked up at her.


    Chi Yue almost choked.


    Fu Xingchuan sported a pair of panda eyes, obviously from being punched.


    Meanwhile, the children, blissfully unaware of the circumstances, naively asked, "Uncle, did you sleep poorlyst night? Your dark circles are so bad, let me ask Mommy to lend you some skincare products."


    Zhan Mobai nodded earnestly, "It’s kind of ugly, you need makeup."

    Fu Rongyin held her head still, "Just let me hold you for a moment."


    Chi Yue ceased resisting yet said, "I will not give up on divorcing you. If thewsuit fails this time, I will offer other evidence."


    "It’s no use, Yueyue. Unless I consent to divorce you, you can’t end this marriage. You don’t want to see me, can’t ept me, so I will wait out of your sight until you can ept me," he replied.


    "Is there any point?"


    "As long as in the end it’s you."


    Chi Yue felt his restraint, but she pushed him away heartlessly, "I won’t stop you from seeing Mianmian, but please do not interfere in my other affairs."
