    The man wiped her tears with an expressionless face and said something that looked like he wasforting her.


    Chi Yue lowered her gaze, seemingly lost in thought.

    Chi Yue was awakened by Nan Yuan’s phone call. He said there was an important banquet to attend that evening, and as he couldn’t make it back, he asked her to represent him.

    Seeing an old friend after so long, to say there were no ripples in her heart would certainly be false.


    Only Chi Yue showed no expression and simply said, "Long time no see."


    Chu Shuo still had that arrogant demeanor, "Yes, so long that if you hadn’t shown up, I would have started to doubt my judgement."


    Chi Yue pressed her lips together, not sure how to continue the conversation.
