Novel Male 801

    Third Person’s POV

Princess Helia quickly connected the dots: Lycan Erasmus likely had massive troop concentrations moving toward the Bloodscar border as they spoke.

The thought of the impending war sent a surge of anxiety and rage through her. Her wolf shrieked in her chest, and she couldn’t stop herself from coughing up a mouthful of fresh blood.

    “Princess!”

Thalia and Celeste rushed forward, catching Helia’s swaying body before she could copse.

Eva’s hands shook as she grabbed a white silk handkerchief and pressed it to Helia’s lips; the fabric was instantly soaked crimson.

The female officials‘ faces were masks of pure shock.

Celeste spun around and backhanded Sybil with such force that the other she–wolf flew backward, crashing hard onto the floor.

    “You absolute lunatic!” Celeste screamed.

“Princess Helia dragged her dying body all the way here just to avoid a war, and you do this?!”

Céleste’s aura exploded–a mix of fury, disappointment, and a sliver of cold despair.

“If war breaks out, our kingdom will be torn apart! Do you want to see our civilians lose their homes and families? Is that what it takes to satisfy you?”

Sybil looked stunned, the sting of the p finally breaking the dam of pressure and resentment she’d been holding back. Her pheromones spiraled out of control as she shrieked back.

“Princess! Have you forgotten how horribly the Crown Prince died? That is a scar on our entire nation! He was your baby brother! Are you really just going to let him die for nothing?!”

Helia’s hands clenched inside her sleeves. Themplight hit her face, showing her Lycan aura flickering unsteadily due to her physical weakness.

She let out a bitter, hollowugh.

“So, you all think I’m against the war because I don’t want revenge?”

Thalia and Celeste’s knees hit the floor. Sensing Helia’s burgeoning rage, they immediately bowed their heads in submission.

Helia took a deep breath, her eyes burning as she pointed a trembling finger at Sybil.

Sybil, I told you my entire n from the very beginning. You knew better than anyone, yet you let hate rot your brain. You’vemitted an absurdity.”

“You im supreme loyalty to Lucian. Tell me–if he were alive right now, do you think he would allow you to drag us into a war with the Northern Kingdom?”

Sybil looked at Helia through a veil of tears, the madness in her eyes refusing to fade.

“But the debt must be paid! I know things are hard–the kingdom is broke, the people are starving–but that’s exactly why we need this! If we force Lycan Erasmus to give us winter rations and use this scheme to keep Alpha Zander off the battlefield, we will win!”

Her face was a mess of tears, her scent a vtile mix of grief and fanaticism.

Her voice dropped to a desperate plea. “Princess Helia, only a victory can soothe the Crown Prince’s soul!”

Helia turned to Thalia and Celeste, her ice–blue wolf eyes heavy with authority.

“And what about you two? Do you side with her? It’s just the four of us tonight. Give it to me straight, or you are no longer worthy of my trust.”

Thalia spoke up firmly. “Princess, I don’t agree with her.”

Celeste echoed her. “Neither do I.”

Sybil scrambled to her feet, pointing an using finger at Thalia.

“Have you forgotten how much the Crown Prince helped you? He took the heat from every high–ranking official just to let you into politics! And now you don’t want revenge? Your ‘loyalty‘ is worth less than amon omega maid’s!”

    scent-

Thalia’s eyes reddened. The memory of the Crown Prince’s familiar and noble–surfaced in her mind.

Her wolf howled, mourning the Lycan she would always revere.

“The Crown Prince’s kindness is carved into my heart; it will never fade,” Thalia said, her gaze meeting Sybil’s without flinching.

“But it’s because we want revenge that we’re bringing Velda home. We will use her blood to let his soul

    rest.

    Sybil’s face twisted.

“That low–born bitch Velda is a nobody! Her life is worth nothing!”

Her voice turned shrill, piercing like a needle, and her pheromones became acrid and pungent.

“Killing just her isn’t enough! Our warriors must trample the Bloodscar border. Even if we force the North to hand over an entire city, it would barely touch the hate in my heart. As long as our military is strong, conquering the entire Northern Kingdom shouldn’t be a problem, right?”

Celeste cut through her delusional rambling with a sharp question.

“So, you’re the one who helped Orion forge the evidence against Pierce? The ims about him robbing civilians and covering up embezzlement–that was you?”

Helia’s gaze snapped toward Sybil, sharp as a de.

    “Yes.”

Sybil admitted it proudly, a vicious glit in her eyes.

“He deserved it. Back on the battlefield, he failed to protect the Crown Prince. He let him get captured and tortured. Then, he led 300,000 soldiers to the Southern border and couldn’t even win the war alongside. the Dragon Cinder Kingdom! Think of how much gold we wasted, and all he did was catch Velda—and then he didn’t even have the balls to kill her. Pierce is a coward, and his failure is a joke!”

Helia felt a copper tang in her throat and spit out another mouthful of blood.

She balled her fists, her nails digging into her palms, and spoke in a raspy, gutteralmand.

“Take her away. Get Damian and Raymond in here. Now.”
