Third Person’s POV

Adide pushed the door open and stepped out into the night. The wind whipped against her face, pulling her scent behin a sharp trail.
She gathered the Capital Guards on duty.
“Follow Avery and Paisley inside. Don’t start any fights, and don’t detain any officials. Just clear the path.”
“Yes, ma’am!”
The second they reached the meeting hall doors, the Western guards blocked their way.
Pheromones surged from both sides, thick and aggressive, tangling in the air like a physical weight.
Paisley and Avery tried to talk their way through, but thenguage barrier almost sparked a brawl right then and there.
Suddenly, Damian burst out from the hall, pushing through the crowd with a wave of suffocating Alpha aura.
His face was livid. “What the hell is this?” he barked.
Adide looked him straight in the eye, her Gamma aura steady and rooted like a tree in a storm.
‘I heard Princess Helia is critically ill. We’ve brought Dr. Digby to assist.”
Damian let out a sharp, mockingugh.
‘We don’t need your help. Do you think our kingdom doesn’t have doctors? Get out!”
Sybil Rhodes stepped out from behind him, her eyes wide with shock.
How did you even find out?”
Adide’s gaze lingered on her for a second. Prune had already tipped her off through the mind link Sybil was the one fighti he loudest against bringing in a healer.
Prompted by Sybil’s question, Damian’s rage red higher
‘Exactly! Princess’s condition is top secret We never told you How did you know? Have you been spying on as this whole time?
Adide kept her voice calm and logical
‘I happened to be passing by and overheard that Princess’s life was in danger called in Dr. Digby bes ause he the best know W simply don’t want any ‘idents‘ derailing the peace talks”
Bobby Potter popped up from the crowd, his voice dripping with contempt
‘That’s a pathetic excuse We already promised Alpha Lance the negotiations would proceed tomorrow as nned,”
Raymond Baldwin scrutinized Digby for a moment then spoke up hesitantly

“If their healer is already here, maybe we should let him take a look. Helia has been unconscious for a long time –
Damian shot him down immediately.
“No way. This is a Northern trick to get leverage before the meeting!”
Sybil Rhodes threw a provocative look at Adide and chimed in.

“I’m with Damian. Our own healers know Princess’s history. We can’t let an enemy doctor near her if they seize the chance poison her, who takes the fall?”
Sybil wasn’t the highest–ranking official, but as Helia’s long–time shadow, her words carried weight. The other envoys pegar
waver.
Only two or three officials–knowing Digby’s legendary reputation–suggested letting him perform an exam
Seeing the argument spiraling into another dead end, Adide and Prune shared a quick look. Without a word they grabt Digby and made a break for Helia’s room.
“Damn it! Stop them!” Sybil shrieked.
“Listen to me, listen!”
Paisley blocked Sybil’s path.
“There are a dozen omega maids in that room. Our doctor is just going in to heal. How on earth would he have 17 poison her?”
“Exactly!”
Avery used his massive frame to box Damian in
“Easy, Alpha Damian! It’s just a check up Your own doctors can stay in the room and wats very
In the chaos the Western healers had already followed Digby inside

Heavy silk curtains hung around the bed. Through the semi–transparent fabric, Helia could be seen lying motionless, eyes tightly
shut
Digby opened his medical bag and pulled back the shroud to begin his exam.
Strangely, Helia’s face wasn’t the pale white of a sick person. Instead, she had an unnatural, feverish flush.
Just then, the rest of the officials crowded into the doorway.
Sybil finally wrenched herself free from Paisley’s grip, shot her a murderous look, and rushed to the bedside.
Damian was still loudly cursing Northern “barbarism” in the background.
Sybil shoved through the crowd, reached the bed, and barked at Thalia.
“You idiot! Princess Helia is the highest–ranking female Lycan in our kingdom! She prizes her dignity and poise above all else. How could you let all these male wolves see her like this, in nothing but a silk nightgown?!”
