Rowena didn’t immediately dissolve the mating bond between Winslow and Wanda. Instead, she firstunched an internal investigation within the pack.
Until the results came out, Wanda was ced under house arrest.
But in reality, the dissolution of their bond was a foregone conclusion.
Just the fact that Wanda had almost killed Winslow with a coffee pot was enough to make the Glenveil Pack turn against her.
The next day, Adide arrived at the Mist Shadow Pack with Ellen.
Previously, Publius had scolded Adide, saying she was disregarding the royal family’s dignity by bringing the Capital Guard to the Blue Abyss Pack without concrete evidence.
Publius was known for his upright character and notoriously hot temper.
Even in his old age, he would still speak out loudly against what he deemed unfair.
He had even dered that if Adide dared to bring the Capital Guard to the Mist Shadow Pack, he would make sure she “could get in but not get out easily.”
After waiting for several days and seeing that Adide had visited many packs but not the Mist Shadow Pack, Publius assumed she was intimidated by Mist Shadow’s influence and dared not
However, just past nine in the morning today, someone reported that “Commander of the Ironthorn Army, Gamma Adide, has arrived.”
Publius immediately ordered, “Don’t let her in!”
In his youth, Publius had led troops to the Southern Border in an attempt to repel the people of the Dragon Ash Kingdom.
Unfortunately, he retired without achieving this goal, which had always been a source of embarrassment for him.
As a Gamma werewolf, he naturally admired Alpha Bentley.
But he was always clear about his loyalties–Alpha Bentley was Alpha Bentley, and Adide

Even though Adide had participated in the campaign to reim the Southern Border, he didn’t believe a she–wolf could possess such strength.
In his view, the true hero was Alpha Lance.
He did admire Lance, but the same principle applied–Lance was Lance, and Adide was Adide. Even though they were a couple, they couldn’t be conted.
At the border of Mist Shadow, werewolf guards patrolled and kept watch.
Adide and Ellen exchanged nces, both feeling calm. They had been prepared for this.
They were aware that Publius and the Wall family were not easy to deal with, which was why they had deliberately left the Mist Shadow Pack forst. <fne4a9> ?????? ???? fι?dnοvel</fne4a9>
“Gamma Adide, we can’t get in. We can’t just barge into the pack,” Ellen said, also feeling <i>a </i>bit helpless<b>. </b>
“This is Mist Shadow. We should still show them the proper respect. Otherwise, if Publius makes a fuss, Lycan Erasmus might hold the Capital Guard ountable just to appease his anger.”
Adide said, “Wait. Check every ten minutes or so. If after an hour they still don’t agree, I’ll go in myself.”
“You can’t do that! It’s too dangerous for you to go in alone,” Ellen quickly dissuaded her.
“Dangerous? Not really. I’ll probably just get yelled at,” Adide shrugged, her tone light. “No big deal. I’ve got a mouth too–if he curses at me, I’ll curse back; if he tries to hit me, I’ll fight back.”
Ellen shook his head with a wry smile. “You cursing back and fighting back will only anger Publius more. Then he’ll still make a big deal out of it andin to Lycan Erasmus.”
Inside the Mist Shadow Pack, all the pack members who held government positions had already left for work.
The ones without official roles were gathered in the packhouse by Publius.
Publius had always worn his emotions on his sleeve, never hiding them.
His honor was earned through his battlefield achievements.

Although some of his descendants held government positions, their ranks were not high.
This way, they didn’t attract jealousy from other packs or suspicion from Lycan Erasmus.
As long as he didn’tmit any heinous acts, no one dared to be disrespectful in front of him.
As for the title “Commander of the Ironthorn Army,” he only respected the honor associated with the “Ironthorn Army” itself. The identity of the mander” was, in his eyes, just an ipetent fool.
The inquiry came again, and Publius picked up his coffee cup, sipping it leisurely.
He looked at the anxious pack members in the packhouse and said calmly, “Ignore them.”
“Is it really appropriate to keep them outside the pack? After all, she’s here on Lycan Erasmus’s orders to conduct an investigation,” Publius’s eldest son, Cassius, asked cautiously.
Cassius had previously served as themander of the Royal Guard.
Before the old Lycan King’s death, he had voluntarily stepped down from his position.
As the heir to the Mist Shadow Pack, he would inherit the pack’s Alpha role after Publius’s passing.
However, Cassius had always been mild–mannered and cautious, pletely different from his father’s explosive and straightforward nature.
Because of this, Publius didn’t like him, thinking he was too timid andcked the courage required of a major family’s heir.
Publius had five sons in total.
Compared to his other sons, he favored his fourth son, Julius, the most.
Julius was born to a breeder.
“What’s inappropriate about it?” Publius nced coldly at Cassius, his tone full of discontent. “What are you afraid of? You’re always so hesitant, cking the vision to achieve great things. You’re even afraid of a woman. How are you going to uphold this family in the future?”
