Novel Male 593

    Third Person’s POV

Gloria’s mind exploded with humiliation and rage as she recalled those shameful memories.

Her lily–of–the–valley pheromones instantly sharpened into spikes, carrying a fierce aggression.

Her pupils constricted into vertical slits, and her nails extended half an inch in her uncontroble fury.

She pped Ulrik’s face with the full force of a werewolf, screaming, “Shut up!”

The crisp sound of the p mingled with the violent sh of pheromones, leaving both of them stunned.

Gloria’s lily scent trembled violently from her loss of control. Her fingertips still tingled from the impact on his face.

Beneath that touch was the unyielding hardness of an Alpha’s bones.

Ulrik covered his face, his obsidian pheromones freezing instantly like a de dipped in ice.

He stared at her in disbelief, his pupils flushing crimson with shock and offended rage. “You hit

    me?”

The p wasn’t just physical; it was a dull knife slicing through his Alpha pride.

A wife striking her mate’s face was unheard of.

In Bloodmoon, where hierarchy was strict and an Alpha’s authority was unquestionable, such an act was unthinkable.

Even in ordinary werewolf families, it was extremely rare.

No matter how angry one might be, no one would do that.

Hitting a face was an affront that ground an Alpha’s pride into the dirt.

There were servants outside, their faint, low–ranking werewolf pheromones now on edge.

Ulrik could sense their prying, making his obsidian aura even more oppressive, like a storm cloud looming overhead.

Especially since he had just been promoted.

This p had shattered any remaining joy from his promotion, leaving only the sting of offense and a vague, indescribable pain.

Gloria bit her lip, tears streaming down her face, her eyes red, and the outline of her wolf ears faintly visible through her hair.

She knew she had gone too far, her lily–of–the–valley pheromones nowced with deep regret, yet she just couldn’t bring herself to apologize, her tailbone stiffening with tension.

“Forget it, just leave,” Ulrik suppressed his boiling anger, his tone cold and distant.

He didn’t want to argue further. The endless sh of pheromones between mates was too exhausting, especially a burden on his still–healing injuries.

After pping him, Gloria felt a pang of guilt.

But hearing his cold, indifferent tone, that guilt was instantly overshadowed by a sense of grievance, her pheromones sharpening again.

“I came here pregnant, to take care of you, to help you recover quickly so you could formally take

up your new post, but your attitude was really bad. I’m disappointed.”

A faint, weak scent of her unborn child lingered around her lower abdomen.

Ulrik closed his eyes, not wanting to argue or respond.

His indifferent attitude felt like an ice pick piercing through Gloria’s defenses.

She stood up, wiped away her tears, and left with a parting shot, “Fine, if you don’t want to see me, I’ll go back to Ironw.”

She knew Ulrik cared about what Ironw thought.

Her return to them while pregnant would surely worry him.

Her lily–of–the–valley pheromones deliberately left a clear trail in the air, as if silently waiting

    to be called back.

But as her omega, Pansy, escorted her across the courtyard, bathed in moonlight, Ulrik’s obsidian pheromones never followed, not even a ripple of movement.

Gloria could feel her pheromones cool from their anxious agitation to a cold, lifeless stillness.

She felt both angry and heartbroken. She was convinced that Ulrik didn’t care about her at all, not even the scent of her unborn child could stir his emotions.

In a huff, she returned to the Ironw Pack.

Due to the sudden upheaval in the capital, all the major wolf packs were keeping their members in check.

    Ironw was no exception.

Although their family had little to do with Madison’s manor, it was always better to be

So, when Gloria came back, crying and pregnant, Christine inwardly cursed herself for not issuing a stricter order to have the pack guards keep her out.

Of course, she wouldn’t actually do that. She just thought it in frustration.

Luna Cynthia sent for her, but Christine didn’t rush over. Instead, she first called Gloria’s omega, Pansy, over for a talk.

Pansy, who was on her payroll to keep an eye on Gloria, was supposed to report any extreme behavior immediately to prevent any major trouble.

This time, Pansy hadn’t reported in advance, and Gloria hade back and clearly an emergency.

Pansy came over and recounted the entire story to Christine.

After listening, Christine frowned. “Ulrik was injured, right? Why did she hit him?”

Pansy exined, “He was injured, and the doctor said he needed to rest in bed for a few days. Actually, when the general was promoted, Luna Gloria was initially very happy, but then she heard that Adide had be themander and would be giving orders, and she became upset.”

    Christine’s frown deepened.

How did Adide bing themander get in her way again?

When could she change her petty and narrow–minded nature?
