“Germain ims to be filial, so he should have sent you to care for your mother while he upheld his own filial duties. Instead, he lets you be unfilial. Isn’t that suspicious?”

Adide’s question hung in the air, met with silence–everyone knew their words would be recorded.

Beingbeled unfilial could ruin marriage prospects, even if there were no legal repercussions.

Among them, only Crispin showed a hint of guilt, though he too remained silent.

Adide scanned the room and instructed the administrative assistant, “Take note: Sidney’s biological and other children are speechless–whether from shame or apathy remains unclear.”

Ca quickly retorted, “How can you say that? Of course we wanted to care for our mother! But our father was unwell too; we had to look after him.”

Adide’s eyes flickered with sarcasm. “Your father’s illness kept you all at the pack, but your mother, gravely ill, was sent to the Greenwood Convalescent Center.”

“Why couldn’t she stay within your pack to recover? Did you treat her poorly, or did she uncover some dark secrets there?”

Maya shuddered. “Gamma Adide, those are serious usations! Sidney insisted on going to Greenwood despite our persuasion. Moreover, this is our family matter–what right does the Capital Guard have to interfere?”

Sadi also bristled. “Precisely! How is this rted to treason? Even in your new position, you have no business meddling in other packs‘ affairs.‘

“Yes, this is our pack’s internal business, and we owe you no exnation!” The group erupted in indignant protests.

Adide let them rail on, unfazed. When their agitation peaked, she turned to Maya. “You once sent Madison a she–wolf. What was her background? Name? Bought or kidnapped? And why did

    you send her to Madison?”

Maya, moments ago smugly watching Sadi and the otherssh out at Adide, was caught off guard.

Herposure wavered briefly before she forced calm. “What are you talking about? When

Adide leaned back, her gaze cold. “Memory failing you? Let me refresh it–the she–wolf’s name was Frederica, from the Blue Ridge State. Her father was a craftsman with three sons. You brought her to the capital at fifteen; she died at eighteen.”

“Do you know how she died? She gave birth to a son, who was dashed to death. Madison ordered her fingers and toes chopped off. She suffered for three days before dying.”

Maya’s face paled. “Who’s spreading these lies? There’s no Frederica! I’ve never heard of her.”

Adide leaned back, watching her coldly. “Your denial doesn’t matter. There are records in Madison’s manor, detailing every woman sent there–their origins, who sent them, how they arrived, their ages upon entry and death, and the abuse they endured. Allid out clearly.”

“Maya, will you confess now, or wait for the Ministry of Justice to summon you? Madison isn’t just facing treason charges. Over a hundred women suffered and died in her manor–this case, as shocking as the treason usation, has drawn Lycan Erasmus’s full attention.”

Maya’s knuckles whitened on the armrests, her forehead beading with sweat.

She hadn’t anticipated being cornered here.

That woman’s name had faded from her memory, only recalling Madison’s obsession with women resembling Luna Aire back then.

Shortly after joining the Blue Abyss Pack, Maya had indeed sent one—just one–to strengthen ties with Madison.

She feigned recollection, then said, “Now that you mention it, a vague memory surfaces. I did send a breeder to Madison’s manor. It was shortly after she’d given birth to Wanda and soughtpliant breeders for Hunt. I rmended one, but details escape me now.”

After speaking, Maya suddenly pped a hand over her mouth, staring at Adide in horror.

“You said that woman died in the manor within three years? Brutally, with her limbs mutted? Goodness, what could she have done to deserve such treatment from Madison?”

“Her mistake was being seen by you,” Adide replied icily.

“So…” Maya looked aggrieved. “I had no idea this would happen. My intention was to help her.”

Adide retorted, “By sending her to Madison’s manor, you thought you were doing her a favor? How convenient for you to dodge all responsibility.”

Maya quickly defended herself. “I truly had no idea why Madison would do such a thing to her.”
