Adide was stunned. “Why would she do that? That’s her mother! Wasn’t she under Madison’s control because her mother was imprisoned in the basement?”
“Could she be trying to kill her mother to break free from Madison? But that doesn’t make sense either.”
“If she truly didn’t care about her mother’s well–being, why did she obey Madison’s orders in the first ce?”
Lance replied, “Her motives are unclear right now. But that’s not our main focus. It just came up during the trial. I’m mentioning it to you because I know you and Paisley interact with Ramona.”
“If there’s solid evidence that Wilorina is involved in matricide, she’ll need to be arrested. But she’s already fled, and we haven’t found her yet.”
Adide said, “Wendy might know where Wilorina is, but she probably won’t track her deliberately. With such a huge case, she and the others need to stay in the city and be ready for emergencies.”
“I’m telling you this so that they can monitor the Blue Abyss Pack and the Silverlight Pack. Although they likely won’t make any big moves after what’s happened recently, many people must have been involved in the manufacturing and transportation of these weapons. Also, the basement prison construction seems unfinished and might still be ongoing.”
Lance thought for a moment and added, “Now that Madison has fallen, Germain or Howell might take over these matters. Keep an eye on them to stay updated.”
“Alright, I’ll have Paisley arrange for someone to monitor them,” Adide responded.
Lance asked a servant <i>to </i>prepare some hot water so he could wash his face, change his underclothes, and grab a little sleep.
Caldwell, knowing Lance was back, wanted to ask about the case. But hearing that Lance had already retired for the night and would soon return to the Ministry of Justice, he decided to
wait.
As a member of ckthorn, though not part of the Ministry of Justice, Caldwell could apany Lance, offering advice and handling misceneous tasks.

Now that Adide was officially in office, the daily management of the pack fell to Ralph and Ivy.
Fortunately, Craig had been around the pack recently and could offer advice on important
matters.
Lance fell asleep quickly.
As soon as he closed his eyes, his cedar pheromones shifted from tense <i>to </i>steady.
It wasn’t due to extreme fatigue but because he knew rest would likely be a luxury until the treason case was resolved.
He had learned on the battlefield to fall asleep at any moment, adjusting his breathing and rxing his wolfish muscles to recover quickly.
After about half an hour, Lance woke up with his cedar pheromones sharpening again.
Caldwell was waiting outside, his cold pine pheromones exuding steadiness.
Adide helped Lance into his uniform. As her fingers brushed the fabric, her fir pheromones intertwined with his cedar scent. She quickly fixed his slightly messy hair.
She said, “Ivy prepared some sandwiches and cookies. Take them with you and have a bite when you’re hungry.” <fna0e4> This content belongs to fι?dnοvel</fna0e4>
“Okay,” Lance rinsed his mouth with cold water and leaned in to kiss her.
As their lips met, their pheromones blended gently. “I’m off. I probably won’t make it back for dinner tomorrow. You should sleep too. Your meeting with Lycan Erasmus tomorrow is important–you can’t afford to skip it.”
His wolf ears twitched slightly, carrying a sense of care for his mate.
“Got it,” Adide said, walking Lance to the plum garden gate where Caldwell waited. “You two hurry along and be careful on the road.”
Beata approached with a meal box, curtsying slightly. “Safe travels, Alpha Lance.”
Lance took the box, nced back at Adide–onest ripple of reluctance in his cedar pheromones–then left alongside Caldwell.
Adide turned from Lance to Beata. “You should sleep too. I’ll be up early tomorrow. No need to rise early for me.”

“Nonsense! Tomorrow’s your first day in office. I’ll definitely be there to support you!” Beata’s malt pheromones bubbled with excitement.
Adide smiled and ruffled Beata’s hair. “Silly girl, go sleep. Rest up so you have the energy to support me tomorrow.”
Before dawn broke the next day, Adide was already up.
Beata, with dark circles under her eyes, rushed over, her malt pheromones a mix of sleepiness and excitement. The other omegas had already prepared hot water and breakfast.
Breakfast consisted of fried bacon, eggs, warm milk, and a small side of fruit sd.
After washing up, Adide put on the Ironthorn Army uniform for the very first time.
She hadn’t tried it on when it was delivered, and upon doing so, she found it slightly loose. But with the belt fastened, it fit adequately.
Her fir pheromones, with each movement, gradually took on the sharpness of a werewolf general.
“So impressive!” Beata couldn’t contain her excitement. “You’re now themander of the Ironthorn Army, in charge of tens of thousands of people!”
