The Capital Policeunched an investigation immediately. The mother and her two children had disappeared without going through the main gate, clearly kidnapped in a stealthy operation.
Following protocol, the police inquired if the family had made any enemies since their return to the capital.
While searching for clues and taking statements, the incident caught the attention of Lycan Erasmus.
With no morning assembly scheduled, Ellen from the Royal Guard reported the unexined midnight disappearance of Cassius’s family during his routine briefing.
The Davidsons were a family that always garnered Lycan Erasmus’s special attention.
At that moment, word came that the ckthorn Pack had returned a royal omega servant to the pce.

As the Lycan King, he harbored no doubts–Lance was his brother, and as long as Lance harbored no treasonous ambitions, there was nothing to fear.
After rigorous interrogation, Sophia, barely clinging to life, revealed all.
Fabian reported, “Lycan Erasmus, Sophia confessed that Luna Skye bribed her. Initially, she was to speak well of Luna Skye to Luna Adide. Later, when Luna Adide joined the ckthorn Pack, Luna Skye instructed Sophia to imply that she was in a difficult position and not unwilling to help.”
“Skye?”
Lycan Erasmus frowned. In his view, this she–wolf was known for timidity. How could she have masterminded such a scheme?
He dismissed the possibility.
“It can’t be Skye. Continue the interrogation until the real culprit is exposed.”

Fabian replied, “Lycan Erasmus, Sophia is near death. I fear we cannot extract more information.”
“Then trace the jewelries and valuables,” Lycan Erasmus ordered.
Fabian responded, “The jewelries, aside from the pink diamond earrings, were crafted by Golden Jewelry Store. The rest have no clear origin records and cannot be traced.”
Lycan Erasmus’s expression was inscrutable, but Fabian knew he was furious.
No one would believe Luna Skye capable of such an act.
Even if she were involved, it was imusible that she would use numerous valuables to bribe an omega merely to gain favor.
There had to be more to this.
If Lance had sent the matter back to the pce, he must have uncovered something but wished to avoid entanglement.
Yet with the case returned and no leads from the interrogation, Lycan Erasmus was rightfully annoyed.
With a stern look, Lycan Erasmus instructed, “Summon the Royal Werewolf Physician to preserve her life. Even if she’s on herst breath, continue the interrogation.”
He could not let this <i>go </i>unresolved. It felt as though an invisible hand manipted events behind the scenes, like a being woven–a sensation he detested.
“Understood!” Fabian acknowledged and withdrew.
After another hour of interrogation, Fabian returned. “Lycan Erasmus, Sophia implicated Madison. She ims Madison instructed her actions and fabricated the connection to Luna Skye out of fear of retaliation against her family.”
“Is she dead?” Lycan Erasmus asked.
“The physician said she wouldn’t make it. She was near death when I left; she’s likely gone by now.”
