    Leaving the apartmentplex, Fang Zhiwei actively offered to be the driver.


    Gu Kai responded with a hum, handed her the car keys, and took Tongtong’s hand that was tugging at his ear: “Tongtong, shall we go y with your little brothers and sisters?”

    Holding Tongtong, Gu Kai instructed Fang Zhiwei.


    Fang Zhiwei nodded with a smile on her face, lowered her eyes, a touch of loss momentarily shing through them.


    On the road, Gu Kai took out his mobile phone and dialed a number, informing them he would not being home for dinner.


    Throughout the drive, Fang Zhiwei drove quietly, not mentioning the scene she had witnessed in the stairway, and Gu Kai, who continued to y with Tongtong, did not exin either.


    When they arrived at Mo Xiuchen’s house, it was already dark.


    In the dining room, Mo Xiuchen and Wen Ran were having dinner, the three little treasures had gotten upte from their nap and were still not awake.


    “Master, Madam, Young Master Gu has brought Tongtong, along with Miss Fang.”


    Nanny Zhang announced their arrival, Wen Ran looked up in surprise, her eyes turning towards the living room where they entered, “My brother is here?”


    “Mhm, outside, he wille in shortly.”


    As Nanny Zhang finished speaking, the voices of Gu Kai and Tongtong could be heard from the entrance, Wen Ran’s face blooming with a radiant smile, Mo Xiuchen said gently, “Ranran, continue eating, I will go have a look.”


    He put down his chopsticks and walked out of the dining room.


    Gu Kai, carrying Tongtong, with Fang Zhiwei following, entered from the entrance and saw Mo Xiuchening out to greet them, Gu Kai immediately smiled, “Betterte than never, Mo Xiuchen, we haven’t had dinner either.”


    Mo Xiuchen smiled with a curl of his lips, his deep eyes sweeping over him and Fang Zhiwei, then turned to instruct Nanny Zhang, “Nanny Zhang, please have the kitchen prepare a few more dishes.”


    Wen Ran also came out from the dining room, smiling as she approached, took Tongtong from Gu Kai’s arms, and greeted Fang Zhiwei, “Sister Wei, please take a seat. Brother, why didn’t you call on your way here?”


    “Auntie.”


    Wen Ran, holding Tongtong, sat down in front of the sofa, and Tongtong immediately reached out to touch her hair, smilingly calling out.


    Wen Ran chuckled softly, holding Tongtong’s hand, “Tongtong, what would you like to eat, tell auntie.”


    “Sister.”


    Tongtong blinked, twisting her body, looking around for her siblings.


    “The little brothers and sisters are still sleeping, they will wake up soon and then can y with you, okay?”


    “Okay.” Tongtong was easilyforted, as long as she could y with her siblings, she was happy.


    After dinner, Momo, Ziyi, and Xin Xin woke up one after another, Fang Zhiwei and Wen Ran took Tongtong upstairs, to the baby room to y with the little treasures.


    Mo Xiuchen and Gu Kai sat in the living room, chatting on the sofa.


    “Why did youe with Fang Zhiwei, have you two gotten back together?” Mo Xiuchen reclinedzily on the sofa, his long white fingers lightly stroking the ss, a hint of teasing on his lips.


    Gu Kai slightly furrowed his brows, picked up his ss to drink some water, and after setting it down, responded mildly, “She originally invited me to watch a movie, I said I needed to apany Tongtong, so she followed along.”


    “Ah Kai, you have feelings for Fang Zhiwei, right?” Mo Xiuchen’s eyes narrowed slightly, his gaze inquisitive as he looked at Gu Kai.


    “I just don’t dislike her.” Gu Kai rolled his eyes, hesitated a moment, and said, “After all, I was the one who provoked her first.”


    “So, you feel guilty?”


    Mo Xiuchen suddenlyughed.


    “It means I’m kind-hearted.” Gu Kai red at him unhappily. What’s so funny about that?


    “Ah Kai, if you don’t n to get back together with Fang Zhiwei, stop being gentle and kind to her. Fang Zhiwei doesn’t just like you a little; you’re only giving her hope by acting this way.”


    Mo Xiuchen’s smile faded, and he spoke earnestly.


    Gu Kai’s brows furrowed slightly, and his expression turned somber, “I haven’t been gentle and kind to her, but your words make sense. I need to find a chance to rify things with her again.”


    “Rather than rifying, it might be better for you to get a girlfriend and start a new rtionship; she’ll back off on her own.”


    Gu Kai’s eyes flickered, and he suddenly remembered the moment Fang Zhiwei saw him with Bai Yiyi in the stairwell.


    “Xiuchen, I’ve got an idea.”


    “What idea?” Mo Xiuchen looked at Gu Kai, amused. He was told to start a new rtionship, yet he said he had an idea?


    What kind of response was that.


    “I have a way to make Fang Zhiwei back off on her own.” Gu Kai raised an eyebrow, feeling proud of his own cleverness.


    The children’s room on the third floor was huge, almost like a children’s y area in a shopping mall, filled with numerous toys. Fang Zhiwei and Wen Ran were apanying the four little ones ying; actually, they were sitting on the side chatting, watching the children y.


    “Ranran, is your brother dating Yiyi?”


    While chatting, Fang Zhiwei shifted the conversation towards Gu Kai.


    Wen Ran looked at Fang Zhiwei in surprise, “Sister Wei, why would you say my brother and Yiyi are dating? They are like water and fire, ipatible.”


    “Last weekend, I called Yiyi. She said she was out ying with Tongtong, I asked if she was with Ah Kai; Yiyi said no. But, that night, Ah Kai called to ask Yiyi if she made it home safely.”


    Fang Zhiwei expressed her doubts as she looked fixedly at Wen Ran.


    Wen Ran was slightly startled, she knew that Bai Yiyi had taken the call that day.


    “Sister Wei, you and my brother?”


    Wen Ran left her question unfinished, but she believed Fang Zhiwei would understand her implication.


    Fang Zhiwei’s expression changed slightly, a touch of embarrassment appeared on her face, “Ranran, even though your brother brought up breaking up, I can’t let go of him. As long as he doesn’t have a new girlfriend, I want to fight for another chance. Maybe you’llugh at me, a woman almost thirty years old, still fighting for love.”


    Wen Ran sighed softly, speaking softly, “Sister Wei, everyone has the right to fight for their happiness, but my brother is the type who, once he has made up his mind, nobody can change it. Just like initially, he was willing to date you.”


    Before Fang Zhiwei could speak, Wen Ran continued, “Initially, my brother approached the rtionship with the intention of marriage in mind. Though you two have broken up now, you’re still friends.”


    The implication being that Fang Zhiwei shouldn’t be too persistent and should let go when necessary.


    Fang Zhiwei was no fool; she could clearly understand Wen Ran’s words and bitterly smiled, “Ranran, as long as there is no other woman in your brother’s heart, I still want to fight for him. Rest assured, if he gets a new girlfriend, I won’t cling to him.”

    Wen Ran pursed her lips, unsure of what to say.


    The more she said, Fang Zhiwei would definitely think that she was taking Gu Kai’s side because she was his sister, but genuinely, she hoped that Fang Zhiwei wouldn’t keep clinging on, after all, her brother and Fang Zhiwei had been together for so long and still couldn’t fall in love, it was unlikely they ever would.
