Chapter 37

    Zachary left.

Wendy bit her lower lip lightly and put down her slightly raised hand.

Ethan came closer. "Wendy, don''t be sad. It''s my fault. Zachary wouldn''t have misunderstood you if I hadn''te back and looked for you."

He continued guiltily, "It''s all my fault. I''ll exin to Zacharyter. If it doesn''t work, I''ll leave."

Wendy looked pale, as though she had lost all her energy.

She shook her head. "It has nothing to do with you. Everything is filthy to him because his mind is twisted! There''s nothing going on between us, so we don''t need to exin anything to him."

A strange look flitted across Ethan''s eyes. He pretended to look concerned and asked, "Are you really going to divorce Zachary?"

"I''ll go with the flow. Since things havee to this stage, maybe it''s best to divorce him," she replied.

Wendy took a deep breath and smiled at Ethan. "Ethan, thank you for

apanying me today. I''m tired, so I''m going back now. See you tomorrow."

With that, Wendy turned around and left without looking back.

    ...

It was already 11:50 pm when Zachary arrived at the vi in Bayville.

The lights in the living room were still on.

When Zachary entered the vi, he saw Anya sitting on the couch and working on herptop.

Her legs were long, straight, and fair.

He looked over and was attracted by her long and fair legs.

However, Zachary was down at this moment. He merely took a brief look at her.

Anya stopped working when she saw Zachary was back.

She straightened her back and ced theptop on the coffee table. Then, she pretended to sound angry and said, "I was about to lock the door if you were toe home ten minutester!"

Zachary didn''t reply and changed into home slippers with his head lowered.

Anya sensed something was wrong with Zachary, so she asked tentatively, "Are you in a bad mood?"

After changing his shoes, Zachary smiled at Anya. "Do we have some alcohol at home? I''d like to have some."

It was such a bitter smile.

Anya had wanted toin about Zachary more, but she relented when she saw his awful smile.

"How boring if you''re only drinking wine.

You and take a shower. I''ll

    some dishes and drink with

Before Zachary could turn her down, Anya stood up and went into the kitchen.

Two tes of dishes had been

ced on the table when Zachary went downstairs after showering. There was also a te of crackers.

Anya sat at the dining table and arched her brows at Zachary. "Would you like red

    wine, white wine, or beer?"

Zachary replied without hesitation, "White wine. I''ll get drunk more easily."

    "Okay, white wine it is."

Anya nodded and stood up to take a sealed, high-end white wine from the wine rack behind her.

Then, she grabbed two wine sses.

When Zachary sat down, Anya was done filling the two sses with wine. She pushed one ss to him.

Anya raised the ss and shed Zachary a smile. "Mr. Lloyd, here''s a toast to you!"

"Alright." Zachary nodded and emptied the ss at once.

Seeing that, Anya furrowed her brows slightly. She wanted to say something but held herself back.
