L and I sat on the couch in the bar. Colorful neon lights shone on the dense crowd around us, but somehow, I couldn''t lift my spirits.
L was furious. "How could Alex do that? Why would he get mad at you for no reason? My poor Serena didn''t even get to say anything."
I took a deep breath and downed the ss of alcohol. "Actually, I know that Alex and I can''t be together. But now that the moment has reallye, my heart aches."
L came forward and hugged me. "It''s my fault. Back then, I let you rush into it without knowing the truth. It''s all my fault, Serena."
"How could it be your fault?" I said, leaning against L as my head felt a little dizzy. "Thank goodness I have you, L."
L stroked my chin gently, forting me, "Don''t worry, Serena. I''ll always stay with you. I''m different from that jerk."
I wanted to respond to her words, but I felt too drowsy to do so. Even my eyelids
felt so heavy that I could hardly keep my eyes open. In the midst of all that, I heard my phone ring. I reached out to take it, but L beat me to it. "Hello? Who is it?"
I had no idea who the caller was. All I knew was that L did not seem too
pleased. "Oh, it''s you? Why are you calling Serena? Alright. We''re at a bar. I''ll send you the location."
Upon hanging up, L tilted her head and rested it on mine. "Who was it?" I asked weakly.
"It''s that jerk. He says he wants to pick you up," answered L weakly.
I tried to process L''s answer, figuring out who the jerk was and why he wanted to pick me up. Suddenly, I snapped back to my senses due to the shock I felt, feeling more sober. "What did you say?"
"The jerk wants to pick you up," said L lifelessly, clearly drunk.
I quickly got to my feet and picked up my coat. Pulling L up, I urged, "Get up, L. Let''s go. We''ve got to leave before Alex arrives."
When I got up from the couch, L decided to lie down. "Why? Isn''t it great that he''s picking you up?"
"No." My feet felt like jelly, but I knew
I could not let Alex pick me up from
the bar I had an unpleasant
ve?
moment with Alex not too long ago. And now, I was wasted in a bar.
It would cause misunderstandings. Anyway, I decided not to meet Alex that night. I pulled L up, and the two of us staggered out of the bar.
"Serena, you coward! You like Alex but you still want to hide from him.

Do you not have the courage to meet him?" L scolded her, nding frustrated.
I simply hung my head low without saying a word.
L hit me lightly, asking, "You''re usually braver than this. I''m disappointed in you, Serena."
Serena and I held each other up as both of us had drunk quite a bit. After much stumbling around, we finally made it out of the bar.

"Say something," L demanded, pushing me angrily. My back
bumped into the wall, but I mana
to stay on my feet. However, L fell to the ground.
"L!" I called out, rushing over to help her up. To my surprise, I tripped and fell beside her.
