She bit her lip, “Actually… when I met you outside the Music Bar tonight, Lu had texted me. There’s GPS in the car. He told me where you were.”
Mo Yan’s gaze was steady, without a hint of surprise, as he simply said, “I know!”
Liang Qiaoqiao paused, only to hear him say, “Get some rest early. Goodnight!”
In those few words, there was hardly a change in inflection. Then he walked away, his tall figure disappearing from sight, fading into the corridor lights, almost seeming unreal.
Liang Qiaoqiao returned to her room. She arranged the bathroom with the toiletries and then held the white shirt against her body to feel the size.
Looking at her reflection in the mirror; beautiful as a flower in full bloom. But who could see behind those beautiful features, the aching heart?
