At exactly two o''clock in the afternoon, someone knocked on my door.

I let Hera pick up the scent from the other side, and when she confirmed who it
was, a smirk tugged at the corner of my lips.

I walked to the door and opened it without hesitation. "Ma''am, room service.

ying along with his act as he stepped in.
The moment the door closed behind him, his polite hotel smile dropped. His eyes,
sharp and suspicious, locked onto mine.
"Nocturne," I said, breaking the silence.
"You work for Dominic?" he asked bluntly.
I shook my head. "No. Just like you, I''m not under hismand. He hires me

"Then you must be with SI. When''s Dominic showing up?" His tone turned
arrogant in an instant.

At this moment, he likely believed that Dominic had sent a low-level contact to

wasn''t impressed.
I wondered how his expression would change once he found out who I really was.
That thought made me chuckle softly.
