Chapter 85

Sean''s mother said her son had always been weak and sickly, and it was rare for him to finally have a healthy body...

"Hah, that kind of mindset is for the weak!" Ophir sneered.

"If you cooperate with me, we could rule the entire Interster universe and be above everyone else! Don''t you want that?" Ophir tried to convince Sean, its voiceced with temptation.

"I''m just an ordinary person," Sean replied and then proceeded to ignore Ophir.

Originally, he had thought he might at least be able to die and find release.

But the moment Analise let her arrow fly, Ophir panicked. And in that fear, it had dragged his soul out of the original Sean''s body, escaping with him into the boundless open space.

In the vast open space, two faint points of light drifted in the darkness, unseen by anyone.

Starships glided silently through the space around them until sunlight finally shone upon them once again.

    Inside one such starship...

"We''ll be reaching the Stormw Alliance by tomorrow. I sure miss my giant bed!" Analise stood in the front cabin, gazing out at the floating chunks of rock ahead. She figured they were probably the same meteorites she''d heard about back in the human era.

"Once we get back, I''ve got a pile of things to handle, so I''ll have to let Fiy keep youpany," Scott said with a calm expression. However, inside, he was eaten alive with jealousy.

    "Alright." Analise nodded.

"I''ll finish up as quickly as I can," Scott promised.

But he knew better. Ten days had passed. His work would have piled up beyond belief. There was no way he''d be done anytime soon.

"Oh, Scott." Analise suddenly remembered something.

    "What is it?" he asked.

"When we return, you should go visit your mother first," she said softly. "I believe it''s her greatest wish to know that Sean is alive."

"Yeah." Scott nodded and fell silent for a moment.

"After Sean''s health improved, he started acting out of character. At first, I didn''t pay it much mind. I just thought it was good that he was finally better.

"But then I found out he was conspiring with the Reimers and had killed more people than I could count. That''s when I locked him in the underground prison at Hopkins Gxy Lodge. I was convinced he... wasn''t Sean anymore.

"Before my mother passed on, she told me that Sean is Sean, and that they''re

both Sean. She begged me to keep him alive.

"I''ve been conflicted ever since. After all, that''s still his body. I never really believed in the idea of souls. I thought maybe he had just

disorder or something. But that day..."

    developed dissociative identital

Scott pressed his lips tightly together. "It''s the kind of thing that only happens in bizarre stories—not something you expect to face in real life. Especially when it''s my own brother..."

"I understand how you feel," Analiseforted and patted him on the shoulder.

Honestly, she didn''t know how she hade to this strange Interster therian world from the human era either. It was just unbelievable.

After all, her system had only bound to her after she arrived in this world.

In all the novels she had read, systems always appeared right before death or after the host had already died. Then, it would bind to

    ver

their souls before getting transmigrated into some other world.

Even the most bizarre one she read was that a soul had transmigrated into a book before being bound to a system.

"Ana, what happened to your bow?" Fiy suddenly recalled the moment Analise pulled out her Purification Bow and pulled her aside, asking curiously.

"You don''t have a pocket drive with you. Where did you pull that bow from?"

He wasn''t doubtful of her but just in curious.

Analise waved her hand in a grand gesture and said, "It was like-whoosh! I just conjured it out of nowhere."

Fiy scratched his head, unable to locate the emerald-colored bow from that day. "I don''t see it, though."

Analise leaned in and whispered in his ear, "Later. I''ll exin when we''re not surrounded by people."

    "O-Okay."

Feeling her breath brushing against his ear reminded him of the time she nibbled his earlobe, which made him blush immediately.

Scott watched the two whispering to each other and got jealous again. However, there was nothing he could do about it except suffer in silence.

"Ana, do you remember what we said we''d do once we got back?" Fiy asked while tugging at her hand with a pitiful whimper.

"Nope. Wasn''t it nothing important?" Analise acted as if she had forgotten all about it.

"D-Didn''t we agree to form a contract?" Fiy''s face dropped visibly. "Ana, are you... Are you going back on your word?"

"A contract?" Scott blurted in disbelief.
