Chapter 74

    A custom pocket drive?

Was that the same kind of pocket drive Scott mentioned before? So, Gideon created these?

"Wait for me. This time, we''re going to catch him," Fiy said, ending the interster call.

Outside, the bird-feather starship began to move again. Several smaller starships detached, fanning out to surround Sean''s starship.

The formation tightened, forming an imprable ring around his ship.

They approached cautiously, even hailing him, but there was no response.

The encircling ships closed in, but the starships at the center remained eerily still.

There were no warnings, no desperate struggle, not even a sound.

It simply hovered, silent and motionless.

"Scott, be careful. What if Sean is setting a trap and nning to use a diversion to escape?"

Analise sent a voice message to Scott through her interface.

    "Mm."

Scott responded with a short hum.

"Sean, there''s nowhere left to run. You might as welle out now," Gideon announced, speaking through some kind of device. Analise could hear his voice echoing inside her starship.

"He sounds awfully sure of himself," Analise remarked with a smirk.

"I heard he''s the youngest scientist in the Shadowhawk Alliance," Fiy said. "A bit entric, but supposedly brilliant in his research."

"Oh? Is he really that talented?" Analise nced down at the bracelet on her wrist.

"Yeah, I think so," Finn admitted, his gaze also drifting to the bracelet. A flicker of jealousy shed in his eyes.

Fiy hugged Analise, pouting like a child. "He''s trying to seduce you. He just met you, and he''s already trying to seduce you!"

"Pfft... Where did you even learn to say that? Hahaha!" Analise couldn''t help butugh.

From what she had gathered about Fiy over the past few days, seduce didn''t seem like a word he''d naturally use.

"Hmph... Never mind that," Fiy huffed, nuzzling against her shoulder through her clothes. "I''m telling you, he has ulterior motives.

He looked like a mess before.

    and

now he''s strutting around like a peacock!"

"You already have the title, so what''s there to be afraid of? Besides, don''t you have your strategist?" Analise teased, not bothering to soften her words.

"No..." Fiy nced away awkwardly, as if he''d been caught sneaking around.

"The first wife needs to show some dignity," Analise chuckled, giving his shoulder a pat.

"First wife?" Fiy frowned. "What do you mean?"

"Ask your strategist if you don''t get it," Analise sighed, exasperated.

It was a good thing she found Fiy''s innocent charm endearing. Otherwise, he wouldn''t stand a ance against the others. Atleast he had the advantage of time.

    Outside, the starship finally stirred.

The starship slowly began to move, and the surrounding smaller ships suddenly parted, as if someone was deliberately clearing a path for its escape.

"Traitors? Who is it?" Scott''s expression darkened as he gripped the controls of his small starship. Without hesitation, he gave chase.

Gideon let out a dry chuckle. "So, that''s his game. I was wondering why he was being so cooperative. It turns out he was just biding his time."

Clearly, even Gideon hadn''t anticipated this turn of events. But fortunately, he''d nted a tracking device earlier. Sean wouldn''t be slipping away so easily.

    "I underestimated Nelson," he

    muttered under his breath before

    switching from the small starship

he''d used to board the main starship to a specially modified pursuit starship.

Both small starships locked onto the same target.

Gideon pushed his ship to maximum speed and crashed it into the massive starship.

The impact sent a tremor through therger ship, tearing a small hole in its hull. Amidst the shower of sparks, a sleek silver starship emerged from within.

Analise could barely make out the silhouette of a figure in the front cockpit.
