"You know," one of them remarked, "your little brother used to be as clueless as a wooden dummy. Now he''s actually trying to chase a girl."
Abigail responded casually, "Well, he does have a nice smile. Those big white teeth do him favors. Isn''t he good-looking?"
"What about me?" The fox-eared male paused his typing, immediately shutting down his interface. "Looks like I haven''t been keeping you satisfiedtely..."
After Scott left, Analise decided to follow him and see what was going on. She grabbed Fiy''s hand and pulled him along.
Fiy felt a little lightheaded as her warm, delicate fingers wrapped around his wrist.
Whenever they passed other male therians on the starship, Fiy couldn''t help but hold his head a little higher.
"There''s no need to be like that," Analise said, noticing Fiy''s slight vanity. She paused for a moment, then leaned in and gave him a quick kiss on the lips.
The passing men stared, both shocked and envious.
"Ana..."
"Come on, let''s go see if we can help. I don''t want to just sit around and wait for death. Besides, I''m curious to see how much Sean resembles him."
Caught off guard by the sudden public kiss, Fiy blushed. Lowering his head, he quickly took Analise''s hand and led her toward the starship''s front cabin.
In truth, Analise had another reason. She wanted to find out if Sean was a transmigrator. After all, a sudden recovery and a drastic personality shift were ssic signs in transmigration novels.
Analise also wondered if this person had a system and why he was helping the insectoids.
Could Echo''s Ophir be connected to him?
In the front cabin of the starship, Scott stared intently at a small red dot on the control panel, his expression serious. "How much longer until we catch up?" he asked.
It seemed he was speaking to the man beside him.
"About five minutes," the operator replied. "Their starship isn''t moving forward anymore. It looks like they''re waiting for us."
There was a note of uncertainty in his voice.
"Are you waiting for us?" Scott''s eyes darkened as a fleeting image shed through his mind.
With it came the echo of his mother''s voice.
"Scott, promise me that no matter what happens, you will spare your brother''s life.
He is your brother, not a stranger. He''s just... temporarily..."
"Scott, is that red dot Sawyer''s location?"
Scott''s thoughts scattered as he was jolted back to reality, a thin sheen of sweat forming on his forehead.
"Yeah, that''s him," he said.
Analise''s face had gone pale. "Are you okay? You don''t look well."
"I''m fine," Scott muttered, shaking

"Tell everyone to stay sharp. If he''s bold enough to wait for us out in the open, he''s got something up his sleeve."
A few minutester, Analise gazed out the starship''s viewport and took in the scene outside.
Another starship hovered opposite theirs, its bow visible but the rest obscured from view.
Through the front cabin of the opposing vessel, she spotted a figure standing inside.
Momentster, a video call request came through to their starship.
Scott''s grip tightened as he epted the call.
"Long time no see, dear brother."
The face on the screen was a perfect match to Scott''s, except for a small ck mole near the nostril.
At a nce, it was almost impossible to tell them apart.
Analise noticed the mole only because of her fondness for fictional men.
Some characters had moles that were simply captivating.
Sean was no exception.
But this

had already made the first move, and it was a verbal strike.
"Scott, have you been having trouble sleeping or eating these past few days? After all, our mother''s death anniversary ising up soon."
The person on the screen pinched his chin, pretending to be thoughtful, but his expression was filled with malice.
"Let me think... Which day was it? Tomorrow? No. The day after tomorrow? Still wrong."
He smiled wickedly, counting on his fingers.
"Ah!" He suddenly eximed, mming his fist into his other hand. "It''s in three days, isn''t it?"
