Chapter 36

I''m technically the first pure-human female in this world to possess mind essence. And with equal mind essence levels, I can soothe better than any female therian.

"That alone is enough to make people want to protect me and other female pure humans. So, there''s no need to disclose to them that I''m not from this world," Analise said.

She could see Scott still had some lingering fear.

If Scott hadn''t been drawn to her at first sight, she probably would''ve ended up in some underground holding cell by now.

Even if they hadn''t tortured her, they might''ve still tried to turn her into some living tool to purify Vexoth venom.

At the end of the day, even therians were still partly human, and humans were the hardest to predict.

Scott frowned, thoughtful, then slowly nodded. "You''re right. I was overthinking it. You haven''t answered my question. Can I be your mate, too?"

The room fell into a brief silence.

"It depends on your performance," Analise replied with a teasing smile, leaning in close.

Her warm breath brushed against his ear, and Scott gave a slight shiver.

"Alright," he murmured. "I''ll make sure I''ll excel."

Analise just grinned and said nothing more, slipping out of the rest pod in search of Fiy.

Scott watched her walk away, feeling warm on the inside. He would try his best to let Analise see his worth and ept him wholeheartedly.

A momentter, he followed her out.

Since they were helping Karl reim power, Scott had brought a squad of trusted male fighters with him. With nothing else to do, Analise passed the time chatting with them.

The first two days, Analise was filled with excitement as she stared into interster space. For the first time, she felt like a true astronaut. But even space got boring after a while, as it was just an endless piece of darkness.

During the day, sunlight filtered in just enough to illuminate the dark vacuum of space, revealing a few gxies. But at night, nothing but the faintest shimmer of starlight remained.

After five long days drifting through interster space, Analise finally arrived at Ironhorn Alliance.

    Once theynded, Jay led Analise

and the others into the main cityet

They weaved through a few tight alleys before entering what looked like an ordinary home.

Jay guided them into the basement. Then, he turned a specific decorative item on

the shelf, and a hidden stone door slowly creaked open.

It was a secret tunnel. They walked through the dark, narrow passage for over ten minutes before Analise finally saw a glimpse of light.

She was silently grateful she didn''t have ustrophobia. If she had, there was no way she could''ve made it through that pitch-ck tunnel.

"This is Lord Hansen''s estate, right?" she asked, ncing around. They were clearly at a much higher ce than where they''d started.

"Yeah. I had to sneak out to find you, so this was the only way in," Jay said, rubbing the back of his neck with a sheepishugh.

They passed through a few more quiet, deserted paths before stopping at a guarded door.

"Mr. Arnold," the two therians on watch immediately stepped aside. They also stared at Analise in shock.

As Analise entered the room, she saw a massive steel cage inside.

Inside the cage was a dark brown bull. His fong horns were jammed through the bars as he struggled against the metal. His bloodshot eyes were wild with rage.

"This is our city''s young lord, Karl," Jay introduced the bull to Analise with worry etched across his face.

"He''s quieter than I expected." Analise was quite surprised.

When Fiy or Derek went berserk, they were roaring and wing around.

"He''s inbat mode right now. He doesn''t roar. Bulls only roar before charging

or when signaling danger to others," Jay exined.

"Really?" Analise blinked. "I figured you''d be roaring during the fight."

"I mean, some people definitely scream when they go wild chasing me through

the woods," she added, shooting a sharp look at Fiy.

Fiy couldn''t help but tremble. He recalled that day in the forest. If

Analise hadn''t awakened her mind essence at that moment, she

    .n

would''ve died. He would probably be

rotting in an Interster Prison for killing a female.
