Chapter 712

If he and Liliana had really never been together, then was everything just as Hogan had said? Was it Amara who saved him that night, and was it Amara who was with him?

And now, was the child Amara was carrying also his... did that mean he and Amara were having a child together?

Finnian stared at Liliana, his eyes unsettlingly calm-so calm it was almost frightening. Then, without a word, he turned and walked away in long strides.

    "Finn, where are you going?"

Liliana hurried after him, grabbing his sleeve, her eyes filling with tears.

"Today is our wedding day! Don''t you want to marry me anymore?"

Liliana had no idea that it was Amara who had saved Finnian. She thought that Finnian had simply learned the truth and now didn''t want anything to do with her, so she desperately tried to stop him from leaving.

But Finnian had already learned the truth: it was Amara who had rescued him, not Liliana. So how could he possibly still want to marry Liliana?

He ignored herpletely and headed straight for the hotel entrance.

At this moment, his mind was filled with nothing but Amara-he needed to see her right away.

"Finn, what''s happened? Why are you leaving?"

Mr. Kevin Everly came rushing over, leaning on his cane with obvious urgency.

Blocked by his grandfather, Finnian came to a halt.

He could avoid exining himself to anyone else, but to his grandfather he owed at least a brief exnation.

“Grandpa, the child Amara is carrying is mine,” he said quietly. “I only just found out."

Mr. Kevin Everly let out a shocked "Ah," his face stunned.

"I need to go find Amara," Finnian continued. "The wedding''s off, Grandpa. Please

go home with Lisa for now—I''ll exin everything to you when I have time.”

With that, Finnian ran off, leaving Mr. Kevin Everly behind in utter confusion.

Amara is carrying Finnian''s child? How could that be...

Back then he had thought Amara must have been wronged by someone to be pregnant. He never imagined the child was Finpian''s—and that even Finnian himself hadn''t known. He could hardly make sense of any of it.

Amara spent the afternoon with Keith. They walked together through the park, then found a restaurant to have dinner.

They ordered steak. Amara slowly cut her food, ncing at the time on her phone.

It was already after five; Finnian and Liliana''s reception must be under way by now -they were probably making rounds, toasting the guests.

Amara pictured the scene in her mind. She knew she shouldn''t be thinking about it, but couldn''t seem to help herself.

“Try some shrimp—this ce makes really good grilled shrimp.”

Keith noticed Amara was distracted, understood what was on her mind, and offered her a piece of shrimp he''d just cut. He even gave her a gentle, encouraging pat on the head.

Amara snapped out of her thoughts and smiled gratefully at Keith. She speared the shrimp with her fork and ate it quietly.

There was just too much going on in

    her mind these days-not just

    Finnian''s wedding, but also Larry

pressuring her to end the pregnancy. And now, the fear that the truth about her baby might be exposed at any moment.

All those worries, tangled up together, left her with no appetite for anything. Even

though the grilled shrimp was good, she couldn''t really taste it.

Just then, the restaurant door opened. Someone walked in briskly, paused at the entrance to scan the room then after spotting Amara and Keith in the corner headed toward them.

Sensing something, Amara looked up and saw Finnian, dressed in a suit, walking straight for her.
