Chapter 701

He rubbed his brow, feeling utterly drained.

Amara Sullivan had breakfast with Elysia Moon and Tina. After Elysia left, Amara received a call from Mr. Kevin Everly, who arranged to meet her at a tea houseter that morning.

When Amara arrived, Mr. Kevin Everly was already waiting for her inside. He reached out and took her hand, saying quietly, "Ama, there were too many people and too much going onst night, so Grandpa didn''t get a chance to talk to you privately. What exactly happened yesterday? And does Tina know about your pregnancy?"

Amara had brought Tina along; Tina sat quietly in a corner, her head bowed as she slowly sipped her tea. Mr. Kevin Everly spoke in a hushed tone to avoid letting Tina overhear their conversation.

Amara wasn''t sure how to exin it to Mr. Kevin Everly, but she knew she couldn''t avoid answering altogether. She hesitated, then said, “Grandpa, Tina and I are close, so she knows a bit about my situation. But I can''t tell you more than that. Would it be alright if we just dropped the subject?"

She bit her lip, her expression a little aggrieved.

Mr. Kevin Everly had always suspected that Amara''s situation stemmed from someone mistreating her, which only made him more anxious when he saw her vulnerable expression. His heart tightened, and he quickly reassured her, "Ama, if you don''t want to talk about it, you don''t have to. Just remember: if anyone ever tries to hurt you, you can alwayse to me."

He let out a long sigh, choosing not to press her any further, and simply patted the back of her hand in aforting gesture.

Amara exhaled in relief. As long as Mr. Kevin Everly didn''t push her for more details, things would be alright.

She chatted with him a little while longer, then left the tea house.

Mr. Kevin Everly also got up to leave, taking Tina with him. After all, Tina worked for the Everly family and had to return to her job; she couldn''t afford to be away for too long.

And now that Emma Everly and Liliana Porter were banned from entering the Everly estate, Amara felt it was safe for Tina to go back. She sent Tina off with Mr. Kevin Everly without worries.

Amara wandered outside for a while before settling into a café. She didn''t order coffee, but instead got a hot cocoa, drinking it slowly as she scrolled through her phone.

Then, to her surprise, she discovered that the events fromst night had started to leak onto the inte, although only in a limited circle. She came across the news on a celebrity gossip forum.

The site was fairly obscure and not widely known, but one post on the homepage was catching attention The headline imed that

something dramatic happened at the very Group chairman and Liliana''s rehearsal dinner, and that Amara was involved.

The eye-catching headline was pure clickbait, tempting people to click, but the actual post simply repeated the title and offered no real" information. As a result, the thread filled up withments calling out the original poster:

"What is this nonsense? If you''re going to spill some tea, tell us what actually happened. With just a sentence, how can anyone know if you''re telling the truth or just making things up?"

"No proof, no truth. If there was really a scandal between the Everly Group chairman and Liliana, show us pictures. If you don''t have pictures at least give us some real info-this nonsense is worthless."

“Everyone, just leave. OP is clearly just trying to make up rumors for attention. Don''t waste your time here."

Nearly all of thements said something simr.

The original post had gone up at seven that morning, but it wasn''t until about twenty minutes earlier that the previously silent OP responded to thement calling him a liar:

“It''s real. The trouble between them is all because of Amara—specifically, it''s to do with Amara''s baby. I can''t say more; you''ll just have to figure it out for yourselves."
