    Outside, Amara led Tina onto the street.


    Finally away from the noise of the main hall, Amara stood at the curb, watching the endless flow of traffic under the dim night. For a moment, she felt truly lost, unsure of where to go next.


    "Ms. Sullivan, did I do something wrong?" Tina''s timid voice broke the silence.


    "I''m sorry. I think I let your secret slip. I was just so angry seeing everyone bully you -I shouldn''t have said what I did..."


    It was only now that Tina realized she had revealed Amara''s biggest secret—a


    secret that would surely turn Amara''s life upside down.


    She was overwhelmed by guilt and fear, and tears welled up in her eyes.


    Amara sighed and took out a tissue, gently wiping Tina''s face. “Don''t cry. This isn''t your fault. You only did it because you care about me. I should be thanking you."


    Although Tina was the cause of this mess, what was done was done. The girl truly meant no harm, and Amara had no heart to me her-only tofort.


    Tina was moved even more by her kindness and felt the urge to cry harder.


    "Ms. Sullivan, thank you for getting me out of there. I really mean it.”


    Thinking back to what she''d blurted out in front of everyone, and how she''d even, without meaning to, dragged Finnian into things with just a nce—if Amara hadn''t taken her away, Emma and Liliana would have torn her apart. She was genuinely grateful to Amara.


    Amara shook her head. "It''s nothing. Let''s just get out of here."


    The most important thing now was to leave the Everly estate. Amara pulled out her phone, called a cab, and they both got in.


    It was alreadyte. Tina couldn''t go back to the Everly estate, and with her own apartment still under renovation, she had nowhere else to go. After talking it over, the two decided to just find a hotel for the night.


    Everything that had happened today felt surreal. It had only been two hours, but Amara felt as if two days had passed. She was exhausted, utterly drained.


    Even though she''d managed to leave the Everly estate, she''d left behind a huge
