A momentter, Liliana opened Twitter and posted: “Just met up with Amara. She was as warm as ever! I even handed her an invitation to my wedding with Finn— wonder if she''ll actuallye." She added a few happy emojis for good measure.
Naturally, Liliana''s tweet stirred up quite a buzz.
After all, Amara was Finnian''s ex-wife. Inviting her to the wedding was Liliana just being gracious, or was she out of her mind?
Especially since Amara was currently at the center of so much attention, thements section was in an uproar:
“Liliana, are you nuts? If Amara shows up, she might totally ruin your wedding."
"Amara never looked like a good person. What kind of woman gets pregnant before marriage? Liliana, how could you possibly invite her?"
"Liliana is just too kindhearted. But honestly, I doubt Amara will even show up. She probably couldn''t stand to see Mr. Everly marry Liliana—she''d just be jealous.”
"There''s no way Amara would daree. Don''t worry, everyone."
Comments flew from every direction. Elysia, still scrolling on her phone, grew angrier as she read Liliana''s tweet.
"That snake. She must be worried you won''t show up, so she posted this just to provoke you. She really has no shame."
Amara saw the tweet too.
"I agree Liliana''s totally trying to bait me. She must have too much time on her hands."
"So, are you going to their wedding?" Elysia asked, snapping her phone shut. "Absolutely not," Amara replied at once.
There was no way she''d go to Finnian and Liliana''s wedding. She knew she''d only be met with stares, and she had zero interest in their ceremony anyway.
Elysia nodded. "Alright, then I''ll go."
A faint, cold smile appeared on her lips. Amara noticed it and knew full well that Elysia''s reason for attending the wedding wasn''t just to watch—it was likely she nned to do a little more.
Amara couldn''t help but feel a little exasperated, but she didn''t try to stop her.
Since Amara hadn''te home the previous night, Mr. Kevin Everly had called to check in on her. Thinking it was best to exin things in person, Amar@decided to return to the family estate and tell her
grandfather.
When she reached his room, Amara exined, "...A friend of mine has been feeling downtely, so I brought her to stay at the vi where I used to live. I n to keep herpany for a few days."
Mr. Kevin Everly nodded. "Of course, you should stay with her. By the way, how''s the renovation on your new ceing along?"
"It''s almost finished-most of the work is done. But after it''splete, we''ll need to let the ce air out for a few months before I can move in. And my TV series is about to start filming soon, so I''ll be living with the crew for a while."
"That''s good. Once the new ce is ready, move in for a bit-let it feel lived-in, bring it some life. And whenever you miss your old
grandpa, you can alwayse stay, here, or even move back in for good." This will always be your home. If you ever feel lonely, you could even have your baby here."
Amara couldn''t help but smile.
Her grandfather really did dote on her. "If I start missing you, I''ll definitelye stay," she promised.
Just then, someone knocked at the door. Lisa went to open it, and Hogan walked in.
The moment Amara saw Hogan, she was reminded of theirst unpleasant interaction. She turned away, making it clear she didn''t want to greet him.
Hogan shot Amara a nce before moving to stand beside Mr. Kevin Everly.
