Faced with Dorian''s attitude, Jessica only cried harder, clinging to the doorframe
and refusing to leave, all the while apologizing repeatedly to Elysia.
There weren''t many people speaking in the room, but the atmosphere felt overwhelmingly chaotic.
Elysia finally couldn''t take it anymore. Everything unfolding before her was a tangled mess that made her feel sick to her stomach.
What kind of performance was Dorian putting on? If he truly wanted Jessica out, he could have just picked her up and thrown her out-why all this drawn-out drama in front of her? It was making her head throb.
She tossed aside the piece of clothing in her hand and dered, "Let''s go. I don''t want anything from here anymore. Every single thing in this house disgusts me-l can''t even stand to touch any of it!"
Her resolute words made Dorian''s face go pale.
Amara set down the clothes she was holding and said, “Alright, let''s go.”
She led Elysia toward the door, giving Jessica a brief, cold nce as they passed.
Dorian couldn''t stand it any longer. He rushed over and grabbed Elysia in an embrace. "Don''t go. I won''t let you leave!"
For a moment, there was only silence.
Then, theposure Elysia had maintained for so long suddenly shattered.
She shoved Dorian away with all her strength, screaming, "Don''t touch me! Get away from me! You''re disgusting, don''t touch me!"
She pushed him so forcefully that he stumbled back, crashing into the edge of a cab.
Dorian''s back hit the furniture with a sharp pain, but he barely seemed to notice. He stared at Elysia in shock, deeply wounded-did she really call him disgusting? Elysia stood there, panting, her eyes filled with nothing but hatred and contempt. Then she grabbed Amara''s wrist and pulled her out the door, the two of them leaving together.
They didn''t know exactly where they were headed, but they knew they needed to get out of there.
Just then, Finnian caught up with them from behind and blocked their way. "Let me drive you," he said. "It''s toote for you two to be out alone."
Still frustrated over Dorian, Amara wasn''t in the mood to be polite to Finnian either. "That''s not necessary. We can manage ourselves," she said curtly.
Finnian lowered his voice. "It''s not safe for two pregnant women to be out thiste. Let me give you a ride."
Amara''s head snapped up. “How do you know Elysia is pregnant?”
Finnian held out a slip of paper. "You left the prenatal report on the table earlier. I picked it up before Dorian could see it, and I won''t say a word to him."
Amara was a bit taken aback—she hadn''t expected Finnian to take their side in this. But it wasn''t a big deal. She took the report from Finnian and said, "Thank you."
"No need to thank me. Let me drive you,” Einnian insisted. "It''s really not a big deal I dont have anything e to do right now. Where are you two headed?"
This time, Amara didn''t refuse. Finnian was right-the two of them, both pregnant really shouldn''t be out alone sote at night, and she hadn''t driven her car.
She thought for a moment. Taking Elysia back to the Everly estate would be inconvenient, and going to the Sullivan family was out of the question.
Her own ce was still under
renovation, and going to Elysia''s et
parents'' house would only
